Selecting a modulation table to mitigate 5G message faults

Wireless networks, such as 5G (and future 6G) networks, can recognize opportunities to enhance message performance by analyzing fault types in real-time, and selecting an appropriate mitigating modulation table accordingly. Noise patterns causing adjacent-amplitude faults and adjacent-phase faults indicate the need for different modulation schemes, while the large non-adjacent faults from pulsed external interference lead to yet a different choice. Disclosed examples show how to select an appropriate mitigating modulation table through fault analysis of failed messages. By selecting and switching to different modulation tables according to the types of message faults experienced by user messages, network operators can reduce message failure rates and increase overall throughput while reducing average delay per message, according to some embodiments.

In at least one embodiment, the location of the column can be decoupled from the customary end of the pontoon. The tendons can be located at the ends of the pontoons extending beyond the intersection. In some embodiments, such as four-column TLPs, the pontoons can be extended orthogonally relative to an adjacent pontoon. The extending pontoon increases a buoyancy of the pontoon, increases a pitch stability of the TLP, and increases quayside stability. The extended pontoon can be structurally intersected with the adjacent pontoon to strengthen the extended pontoon and reduce the failure mode of such structure.

Selecting a Modulation Table to Mitigate 5G Message Faults

Artificial Intelligence (AI) means are disclosed for enabling network operators to optimize 5G and 6G messaging performance, in real-time. AI models, or fieldable algorithms derived therefrom, can select an appropriate modulation scheme according to network conditions. Modulation variables can then be adjusted to optimize performance, such as throughput or failure rates, for low or high traffic densities. Three development phases are described: network data acquisition including faults experienced under various network conditions, AI structure tuning for accurate prediction of performance, and implementation of a fieldable algorithm based on the AI structure. Network operators can use the fieldable algorithm to compare predicted performance metrics in real-time, according to various operating conditions (such as available modulation schemes), and thereby adjust particular modulation parameters (such as amplitude or phase levels).

The performance and durability of compressor wheels coupled to turbocharger shafts are at odds with each other in that a higher rotational speed can be accommodated by an aluminum compressor wheel. But, aluminum has a low yield strength which causes the compressor wheel to expand outwardly at high rotational speeds such that the slip fit on the shaft no longer prevents wobble at high rotational speeds. To at least partially address this issue, the compressor wheel has two portions: an inner portion made of steel or titanium that has a relatively higher yield strength and a blade portion made of a lightweight, castable material. The inner portion is manufactured with grabbing features on its periphery, placed in a die, and the blade portion is cast over the grabbing features to yield a compressor wheel of two materials that provides sufficient shaft stiffening without high rotational inertia.
