166 results about "He element" patented technology

Helium (from Greek: ἥλιος, translit. Helios, lit. 'Sun') is a chemical element with symbol He and atomic number 2. It is a colorless, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic, inert, monatomic gas, the first in the noble gas group in the periodic table. Its boiling point is the lowest among all the elements. After hydrogen, helium is the second lightest and second most abundant element in the ...

Device comprising a clock movement and a chronograph module

A device comprises a basic clock movement MB whose time indicators are driven by a first barrel connected to a first wheelwork and a first regulator organ, and an autonomous chronograph module MCA whose indicators are driven by a second barrel independent from the first, connected to a second wheelwork and a second regulator organ. The chronograph module is exclusively composed of mechanical elements. The frequency of oscillation supplied by its regulator is equal N times the frequency of oscillation supplied by the regulator of the base movement, with the coefficient N being definable according to a specific application of the chronograph, so that any chronograph module thus previously defined can work with-the same base movement. The chronograph regulator remains constantly engaged with the corresponding wheelwork. The chronograph module allows a time interval to be read with a minimum precision of a hundredth of second. The organs of the base movement and of the chronograph module are arranged in such a way that in assembled state, the height and overall diameter do not exceed 7.75 mm and 30 mm respectively, the dimensions of the chronograph itself being not greater than 4 mm (height) and 30 mm (diameter) when its elements are mounted on a bottom plate, so that the device can advantageously be integrated in the case of a wrist-watch and affords an aesthetic exterior.

Active confocal image acquisition apparatus and method of three-dimensional measurement using same

An active confocal image acquisition apparatus includes a confocal image acquisition system and a liquid crystal panel. The liquid crystal panel is disposed in the confocal image acquisition system so that its elements are aligned with elements of the detector. The light transmittance of elements of the liquid crystal panel is adjusted so as to make the intensities of reflection of all pixels (the values attained when the parts reflecting light are at or near the focused position) as close to a predetermined level as possible. By this configuration and method of using it, the active confocal image acquisition apparatus can perform accurate measurement if there are high-reflectance and low-reflectance parts together in the measuring field.

Method of designing automotive seat assemblies for rear impact performance

A method for designing automobile seat assemblies in which a sled test is run on a prototype seat assembly in order to obtain the necessary data to model the seat assembly with simulation software. A basic model of the surface of the seat assembly is built utilizing simulation software and tests are run on various parameters to determine those that are most significant to the desired objective of the design process. Thereafter, the software is used to build a detailed model of the seat assembly and all its elements and the significant parameters are tested further to determine those that are again most significant to achieving the desired outcome. Once optimization ranges for those most significant parameters are chosen, the prototype seat assembly is modified accordingly. A final sled test is run on the modified prototype to verify the results and compare those results with the original sled test results.

Wheel support device and suspension device comprising the said support device

A vehicular suspension device (1) comprises a wheel carrier (31) which is articulated relative to the suspension elements (18, 19). This connection is provided by rigid connection rods (6, 7). This additional degree of freedom permits variation of the camber angle (alpha) independently of the suspension spring movement and of the deformations of its elements. The variation of the camber is preferably controlled by the forces sustained by the wheel (2) in the ground contact area (AC) of the tire. This is obtained by a configuration in which the movements of the wheel (2) relative to the body (5) of the vehicle allow an instantaneous center of rotation (CIR r / c) which is situated beneath the plane of the ground (S).
