The invention discloses a method for driving an
infrared multi-point touch screen. A
touch panel has a double-layer structure; vertically orthogonal
infrared paired tubes are distributed on the periphery of a lower
touch panel layer; slantly intersectant
infrared paired tubes are distributed on the periphery of an upper
touch panel layer; the infrared paired tubes on the periphery of the lower touch panel layer are divided into multiple groups and are driven at the same time and detect
luminous flux of a receiving tube at the same time; after the infrared touch screen is started, the infrared paired tubes on the lower touch panel layer are driven first; if there is only one touch point, a
direct response is made to the touch screen and scanning is ended; and if more than one touch point is detected, according to inclination angles of the inclined infrared paired tubes on the touch panel layer, positions of the inclined infrared paired tubes are computed, the infrared paired tubes are selectively driven, fake touch points are eliminated and multi-point touch is realized. By the method for driving the infrared multi-point touch screen, the scanning time of the infrared tubes is effectively shortened and the responding speed of the touch screen is improved.
