The invention relates to a short wave
antenna tuner insertion loss measuring device and method. The device comprises an actual
transmitter emission and test unit, a
signal source and a power
amplifier emission and test unit. The method includes the steps that: the actual
transmitter emission and test unit is connected, an output power of a
transmitter is monitored through a through type power meter, a short wave transmitter emits signals in a frequency point f1 in the constant amplitude, and a through power P1 displayed by the through type power meter and a
voltage V1 received by a short wave receiving antenna in the f1 frequency point are recorded; the
signal source and the power
amplifier emission and test unit are connected, a work frequency point of the
signal source is set as f1, and the
signal source is set as
continuous wave emission, and a through power P2 displayed by the through type power meter and a
voltage V2 received by the short wave receiving antenna in the f1 frequency point are obtained; and an
insertion loss IL of an
antenna tuner in the work frequency point is calculated. According to the invention, the antenna
insertion loss is obtained by conversion of an actual antenna
emission power value and a receiving value of the receiving antenna when two different emission sources are adopted for emission. The short wave
antenna tuner insertion los measuring device and method can be extensionally applied to a scaled model
electromagnetic compatibility test, and the measuring precision is improved.
