The invention relates to a method for rapidly tuning impedance matching of an antenna tuner. An initial impedance value of matching turning is provided through impedance detection; an optimized threshold value of a matching network is provided through standing-wave ratio detection, and the matching conditions of a circuit are balanced; the matching network is an n-type matching network, a front n capacitor C1 and an inductor L are formed through binary cell arrays, and a fixed value is adopted to a back n capacitor C2; a binary cell array circuit is characterized by 1 being formed by connecting a plurality of branches in parallel, wherein each branch is formed by connecting a switch and a capacitor C in series; 2 being formed by connecting branches in series, wherein each branch is formed by connecting a switch and an inductor L. Antenna Tuning Using the Ratio of Complex Forward and Reflected Signals

Embodiments operate to reduce impedance mismatch between the PA and the antenna in a transceiver, thereby reducing the VSWR at the PA output and improving both the delivered power to the antenna and receiver sensitivity. In embodiments, an antenna tuner is placed between the PA and the antenna. The antenna tuner includes programmable components that can be tuned in order to effect an impedance translation between the antenna and the PA output, thereby reducing reflections seen by the PA. In an embodiment, the antenna tuner is adapted dynamically based on changes in the impedance of the antenna. Accordingly, the PA is operated very close to its optimal load impedance. In another embodiment, the antenna tuner is controlled based on measurement of the voltage reflection coefficient S11.

This allows the second radio to communicate using the shared antenna while the first radio is in the sleep mode. When the UE identifies a transition from the sleep mode for the first radio, the UE may adjust the tune code for the shared antenna for the first radio, allowing the first radio to communicate using the shared antenna.
