In the process, the effluent is contacted with an aqueous solution comprising a peracid compound. When contacted with the peracid, odor compounds in the effluent are oxidized and converted from the gaseous phase into a chemically modified highly aqueous soluble phase in the aqueous treatment. In this way, odor removal from the gas is preferred and odor compounds are efficiently transferred into the aqueous treatment solution. The use of such a process produces a significant improvement in odor quality index as measured by a conventional process using an expert panel when compared to conventional treatment methods.

According to the method provided by the invention, a water channel is arranged according to a terrain of the water source region by taking a water fetching opening of a water supply plant as an end point, a photocatalytic purification region, a combined ecological floating bed purification region and an aquatic plant purification region are separately arranged along the water channel, and in-situ pretreatment is carried out on an inflow of the water supply plant in the water channel. The water channel is enclosed by isolating barriers, and a block for intercepting garbage and floating plants is arranged at the water inlet end of the water channel. The three purification regions can be combined in adaptation to local conditions. Compared to the prior art, the method provided by the invention effectively couples four in-situ water quality purification technologies: photocatalysis, ecological floating bed, ecological contact oxidation filler and plant repair. The method is simple in structural design, low in material cost, small in interference by construction and operation on the outside world, simple to maintain and manage, free of additional added chemical agents and safe and free of secondary pollution and can be used for effectively improving the inflow water quality of the water supply plant, so that the main water quality indexes are enhanced by at least one grade.
