According to the present invention, a method for processing a broadcast signal in a transmitting system that transmits an emergency alert message through a mobile broadcast network comprises the steps of: RS-CRC encoding of mobile service data containing an emergency alert message so as to generate an RS frame that belongs to an ensemble; dividing the RS frame into a plurality of RS frame portions; mapping the plurality of RS frame portions to data groups and inserting one FIC segment, TPC data, and a plurality of base data streams into each data group; trellis-encoding the data of the data groups; and transmitting a broadcast signal comprising the trellis-encoded data. At least one of either a FIC segment header contained in the FIC segment or the TPC data includes wake-up indication information for compulsorily placing a broadcast receiver into an active mode depending on the level of seriousness of the emergency alert message.

The present invention relates to methods and systems for designing gauge patterns that are extremely sensitive to parameter variation, and thus robust against random and repetitive measurement errors in calibration of a lithographic process utilized to image a target design having a plurality of features. The method may include identifying most sensitive line width / pitch combination with optimal assist feature placement which leads to most sensitive CD (or other lithography response parameter) changes against lithography process parameter variations, such as wavefront aberration parameter variation. The method may also include designing gauges which have more than one test patterns, such that a combined response of the gauge can be tailored to generate a certain response to wavefront-related or other lithographic process parameters. The sensitivity against parameter variation leads to robust performance against random measurement error and / or any other measurement error.

A receiving system of the digital broadcasting system may include receiving system may include a signal receiving unit, a demodulating unit, a deinterleaver, and a decoder. The signal receiving unit receives a broadcast signal including mobile service data. The mobile service data may construct a code block, the code block including at least one data packet for the mobile service data, an RS parity generated based on the at least one data packet, and a CRC checksum generated based on the at least one data packet and the RS parity. The demodulating unit performs demodulation on the received mobile service data. The deinterleaver deinterleaves the demodulated mobile service data. The decoder corrects error generated from the mobile service data by performing CRC decoding and RS decoding on the code block of the deinterleaved mobile service data.
