Synthetic fiber sling and roller system for carrying and positioning a load

A sling system comprises a plurality of sling units each including a synthetic fibrous sling and a roller unit which has one or more spool-shaped rollers. The system provides for lifting a load in equilibrium and maintaining the load in that position or be rotated or tilted between horizontal and vertical positions. The system provides for a plurality of attachment points of the sling units to the load, and the sling units and may be set up as a single array or a multiple array depending on the type of load being lifted, transported and positioned. Endless and continuous loop synthetic slings and multiple roller units are used in sling units and provide for uniform and equal distribution of the load throughout the sling system. The spool-shaped rollers may be molded of a rigid plastics material with each roller having end flanges to confine the synthetic sling.

The present invention relates to a method for transfection of cells using at least one protein capable of forming nucleoprotein filaments, wherein the protein is initially modified with at least one functional component which influences one or more steps of the transfection, the nucleic acid to be transfected is then loaded with the modified protein, whereby the nucleic acid and the protein form a filament-like complex, and this complex is finally added to the cells to be transfected. The invention further relates to a transfection agent consisting of nucleoprotein filaments (NPF), with at least one nucleoprotein filament-forming protein being modified with at least one functional component for the transfection. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of the transfection agent according to the invention for producing a drug for gene therapeutic treatment of humans and animals. The present inventions also includes corresponding pharmaceutical preparations, especially for use in gene therapy as well as the use of such transfection agents as component in kits.

The absorbent member is guided between the lower tool roll and a guide roll so that the adhesive agent may be pressed against a peripheral surface of the guide roll and then fed onto a reorienting roll. After having been reoriented on the reorienting roll, the absorbent member is bonded to second web fed in a second machine direction by means of the adhesive agent. Preferably, both the upper tool roll and the lower tool roll have diameters smaller than a diameter of the reorienting roll.
