Display apparatus

Provided is a display apparatus that allows viewing a plurality of plane images in different photographing ranges with high visibility. Two images in different photographing ranges (an image of the telephoto side and an image of the wide side) are taken in a tele / wide simultaneous shooting mode, and the two images are stored in one image file (for example, MP file). The display apparatus acquires the image file and displays the two images on a monitor by a display method stored in ancillary information of the image file. A change in the display method can be inputted from an designation device. If the display method is inputted, a CPU causes the monitor to display the images by the changed display method. If the display method is inputted, the ancillary information of the image file is overwritten by the inputted display method and stored in a main memory.

Automated tagging of objects in databases

Embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for automatically generating tag terms (or tags) for objects in databases of a web site. The metadata of the objects (or data) of the web site are processed and parsed to automatically generate tag terms for the corresponding objects. Information (or data, or content) downloaded from the Internet often comes with metadata, which can exist in titles, description, sources, and authors of the information, etc. The metadata of downloaded information can be process and parsed to generate tag terms for the corresponding objects. The system can automatically generate tag terms for the data, which are stored as objects in the databases, and make the data (or objects) searchable. In addition, the automatically generated tag terms allow associated data to maintain their relationship. For example, data from the same sources, same authors, or same subjects can be identified based on the common tag terms. Automatically generated tag terms enable searching and association of data (or objects) in databases in a web site.

Systems and methods for mapping a neighborhood of data to general registers of a processing element

The present invention is directed to systems and methods for mapping a neighborhood of data to general registers of a processing element. Embodiments of the present invention provide techniques for mapping a neighborhood of data to general registers that are “neighborhood constrained” because the general register set is of insufficient size in one or more dimensions to fully store a desired neighborhood of data in a manner that maintains the positional arrangement of such data. However, a window access method is employed for mapping the neighborhood of data to the general register set, thereby enabling the neighborhood of data to be stored to the general register set in a manner that maintains the positional arrangement of such data as may be desired for performing nearest-neighbor types of operations by the processing element.

Product diverter and method

A wrapping machine for wrapping products is provided with a product diverter for producing package formats which are greater in width than the number of lanes which deliver product to the wrapper machine. A plurality of metering belts advance product from an infeed conveyor along a plurality of infeed lanes. The metering belts are independently driven so that product can be advanced in each lane independently of the product in the other lanes. The metering belts deliver product to accelerator belts which speed up the product to create a gap between successive products in a lane. A first flighted conveyor advances product from the accelerator belts to a plurality of pivotally mounted diverting gates, corresponding in number to the number of infeed lanes. Each of the diverting gates direct the product to one of a plurality of output lanes. The number of output lanes is equal to, less than, or greater than the number of infeed lanes. The diverting gates are independently controlled so that each diverting gate can be pivoted independently of the other gates. A second flighted conveyor advances product from the discharge end of the diverter gates along the output lanes.

Method for designing semiconductor intgrated circuit and system for designing the same

A total random number sequence generator generates a total random number sequence of an entire circuit, as fabrication variation. A signal path random number sequence extracting section extracts, from the total random number sequence, a signal path random number sequence for a partial circuit obtained by dividing the entire circuit. A circuit simulating section executes Monte Carlo analysis using the signal path random number sequence for each partial circuit, thereby obtaining a desired circuit characteristic distribution. In this manner, correlation is maintained between divided circuit characteristic distributions and, in addition, the obtained circuit characteristic distribution is used for clock skew distribution calculation and others. Moreover, the circuit scale of a target of circuit simulation is reduced.

Method and system for safely transporting legacy data to an object semantic form data grid

A computer system architecture and process transforms the organizing principles of business data management seen in traditional or common place settings across disparate data stores into an object-semantic model. The transformation is implemented in a transitory, managed risk implementation approach for data access migration. This approach will enable data agility and will move data storage closer to information storage, while supporting the rapid development of business capabilities. This approach will bridge the gaps between relational database / file based storage (less expressive) and object-semantic representation (more expressive). This process / method will connect information residing in legacy data structures such as relational database / file based storage on disk drives to instances populating an expressive object-semantic model in persistent grid based memory. It will also maintain a linkage between the original legacy data to the enhanced object-semantic data allowing for ongoing modernization and removing the need for point migrations.

A method and apparatus are provided for preserving binary data on an analog archival medium, such as microfilm, in which the binary data is encoded, such as in a barcode symbol, in accordance with a predefined encoding specification. The predefined encoding specification may be stored along with the binary data to facilitate subsequent recovery of the binary data, even if the encoding technique has become obsolete. Error detection and correction code may be generated for the binary data and stored along therewith. By comparing the error correction code associated with the original binary data with an error correction code generated based upon the recovered data, the accuracy of the recovered data may be confirmed. Corresponding methods and apparatus for recovering the binary data are also provided.

Stent with mechanically interlocking struts and methods for making the same

A stent having mechanically interlocked strut sections and methods of making the same. Sets of longitudinally adjacent strut sections have closed ends that are mechanically interlocked by laser cut pairs of corresponding male and female components. The contours of the male and female components generally preclude the respective male components received therein from escaping from the female components even as the dynamics of the vascular or other system within which the stent is placed urges a male component on an opposite side of a set out of a corresponding female component. Rotational movement of the mechanically interlocked male components remains generally unimpeded. Designated pairs of mechanically interlocked strut sections within a set of longitudinally adjacent strut sections are diametrically opposed, or otherwise oriented, relative to one another which keeps the sections together. Sets of neighboring mechanically interlocked adjacent strut sections are arranged out of phase relative to one another in order to increase the rigidity and flexibility of the stent.

A light source apparatus includes a light source unit in which a light source and a light source supporting member having elasticity in an optical axis direction are coupled together, and a collimating lens base member on which a collimating lens is supported. An optical axis direction adjusting member is positioned between the light source unit and the collimating lens base member. A position of the light source unit can be adjusted within a plane approximately perpendicular to the optical axis, and the light source unit can thereafter be secured relative to the collimating lens base member via the light source supporting member. The optical axis direction adjusting member is movable in the optical axis direction, and is disposed such that by its movement it causes the light source supporting member to deform against the elasticity of the light source supporting member, thereby allowing an adjustment of a position of the light source with respect to the collimating lens in the optical axis direction.
