Disclosed are methods and compositions for producing heterologous disulfide bond containing polypeptides in bacterial cells. In preferred embodiments the methods involve co-expression of a prokaryotic disulfide isomerase, such as DsbC or DsbG and a gene encoding a recombinant eukaryotic polypeptide. Exemplary polypeptides disclosed include tissue plasminogen activator.

Self antigen vaccines for treating B cell lymphomas and other cancers

A polypeptide self-antigen useful in a tumor-specific vaccine mimics one or more epitopes of an antigen uniquely expressed by cells of the tumor. The polypeptide is preferably produced in a plant that has been transformed or transfected with nucleic acid encoding the polypeptide and is obtainable from the plant in correctly folded, preferably soluble form without a need for denaturation and renaturation. This plant-produced polypeptide is immunogenic without a need for exogenous adjuvants or other immunostimulatory materials. The polypeptide is preferably an scFv molecule that bears the idiotype of the surface immunoglobulin of a non-Hodgkin's (or B cell) lymphoma. Upon administration to a subject with lymphoma, the plant-produced, tumor-unique scFv polypeptide induces an idiotype-specific antibody or cell-mediated immune response against the lymphoma.

A method and machine for folding and finishing training pant diapers, whereby the diapers are formed from respective flat blanks, each of which is fed to a continuously-rotating, suction-type first wheel, and is folded into a U by clamping an intermediate portion of the blank on the first wheel by means of a folding member; retaining a trailing half of the blank on the first wheel, while detaching a leading half from the first wheel by means of a continuously-rotating, suction-type second wheel; transferring the leading half to a continuously-rotating, suction-type third wheel; and gradually superimposing the leading half of the blank onto the trailing half, as the trailing half advances on the first wheel, and after first removing the folding member from the blank.

The laser rangefinder verification device comprises a verification table. A fixing adjustment deviceis installed in the fixed end of the verification table. The fixing adjustment device is used for fixing a laser rangefinder to be verified. After the fixing adjustment device fixes a laser rangefinder to be verified, a self-walking target vehicle is installed in the verification table. A mobile reflection apparatus is installed in the self-walking target vehicle. A reflection target and at leastone fixed reflection apparatus are installed beside the fixing adjustment device at the fixed end of the verification table. A measurement reflector is installed at the rear end of the mobile reflection apparatus inside the self-walking target vehicle. A laser interferometer is installed at the end of the verification table away from the fixed end. The measurement reflector is used for reflectinga laser beam emitted by the laser interferometer.
