The methodcomprises the steps of: adjusting the height of an artificial rainfall simulator to control the speed at which the rainfall hits the water surface; opening a nozzle of the artificial rainfall simulator and selecting raindrops with different particle sizes; adjusting the gear of a fan to generate different wind speeds so as to control the incident angle of rainfall; measuring the rainfall capacityby using a rain gauge; measuring noise signals by a hydrophone array in a reverberation tank through a reverberation method; acquiring the noise signals measured by the hydrophone array by utilizingthe data acquisition system; and processing data to obtain underwater noise signals generated by the artificial rainfall. The method and device area capable of strictly controlling the remaining variables, such as environmental noise and wind noise, affecting the rainfall noise in the laboratory, controlling the particle sizes of the artificial rainfall, and measuring the rainfall noise without interferences.
