Contrast agent imaging with destruction pulses in diagnostic medical ultrasound

The invention is directed to improvements in diagnostic medical ultrasound contrast agent imaging. In a preferred embodiment, high pulse repetition frequency (HPRF) destruction pulses are fired at a rate higher than necessary for receiving returning echoes. Pulse parameters can also be changed between the plurality of contrast agent-destroying pulses. Other preferred embodiments of the invention are directed to simultaneous transmission of multiple beams of destruction pulses. Destruction frames that consist of a plurality of destruction pulses can be triggered and swept over the entire region of tissue being imaged and at a variety of focal depths from the transmitter. The destruction frames are fired at some time triggered from a timer or some fixed part of a physiological signal, such as an ECG signal. Other preferred embodiments of the invention are directed to continuous low power imaging pulses alternating with destruction pulses triggered at a fixed point of a physiological signal, and a comparison of the received signals from imaging pulses fired before and after the destruction pulses. Alternatively, destruction pulses are triggered at a fixed point on a physiological signal different from the fixed point of a physiological signal used to trigger imaging pulses. In another embodiment, triggered destruction frames are used to enable a comparison of imaging frames in order to determine physiological functions, such as perfusion of blood in cardiac tissue. Finally, in another embodiment, destruction pulses are combined with subharmonic imaging.

Method and apparatus for streaming force values to a force feedback device

A method and apparatus for shaping force signals for a force feedback device. A source wave is provided and is defined by a set of control parameters (including a steady state magnitude, a frequency value and a duration value) and modified by a set of impulse parameters (including an impulse magnitude, and a settle time representing a time required for the impulse magnitude to change to the steady-state magnitude). Optionally, application parameters specifying a direction of force signal and trigger parameters specifying activating buttons can also be provided for the source wave. Using a host processor or a local processor, the force signal is formed from the source wave and the sets of control parameters and impulse parameters, where the force signal includes an impulse signal followed by a continual steady-state signal after an expiration of the settle time. A feel sensation is generated to a user of the force feedback device as physical forces produced by actuators on the force feedback device in response to the force signal. The steady-state magnitude value is lower than a magnitude value of a non-impulse-shaped force signal required to create a corresponding feel sensation having a similar apparent sensation to the user.

The invention relates to a multi-plane dust removing device comprising a plurality of parallel electrodes attached to each plane needing dust removal and dust monitoring controllers arranged on or near the planes needing dust removal, wherein the electrodes and the dust monitoring controllers corresponding to the multiple planes needing dust removal are respectively cascaded in sequence, the cascaded electrodes are connected with a pulse generator, the pulse generator is electrically connected to a power supply, the pulse generator is further electrically connected with an intelligent controller, the intelligent controller is electrically connected with the cascaded dust monitoring controllers, the dust monitoring controllers are used for feeding dust status signals of the planes needing dust removal back to the intelligent controller, and the intelligent controller is used for outputting a first control signal to the pulse generator. The intelligent controller is used for automatically calculating pulse parameters according to the feedback results of the dust monitoring controllers and further outputting the signal to the pulse generator, and the pulse generator is used for applying different pulse signals to the electrodes on all the planes to generate a varying electromagnetic field so that various types of dust on all the planes can be removed.

Relax gas discharge laser lithography light source

An apparatus and method are disclosed for operating a narrow band short pulse duration gas discharge laser output light pulse beam producing system, producing a beam comprising laser output light pulses at a selected pulse repetition rate, which may comprise: a dispersive center wavelength selection optic selecting at least one center wavelength for each pulse determined at least in part by the angle of incidence of the laser light pulse beam containing the respective pulse on the dispersive wavelength selection optic; a tuning mechanism operative to select at least one angle of incidence of a first spatially defined portion of the laser light pulse beam containing the respective pulse upon the dispersive center wavelength selection optic; and, the tuning mechanism comprising a variably refractive optical element defining a plurality of refractive angular displacements of the first spatially defined portion of the laser light pulse beam passing through the variably refractive optical element at one of a plurality of positions of incidence of the laser light pulse beam on the variably refractive optical element. The variably refractive optical element may comprise: a first generally flat face defining a surface of incidence for the laser light pulse beam; and, a second multifaceted or curved face defining a plurality of generally flat surfaces of exit or a continuously varying surface of exit for the laser light beam. Other aspects of pulse parameter metrology and pulse modulation control, including in response to signals from the utilization tool are disclosed, e.g., relating to proper dose control with differing center wavelength spectra.

Device for ultrasonic stimulation of neural tissue

The present invention relates to a device for the ultrasonic stimulation of a neural tissue. A control and data communication unit receives a control command to generate a pulse parameter and a beam-forming parameter. The ultrasonic echo radio frequency data outputted by an echo receiving unit is received and is transmitted to a control and ultrasonic imaging unit. A pulse excitation unit generates a high voltage pulse sequence according to the pulse parameter. The echo receiving unit composes ultrasonic echo radio frequency data according to the beam-forming parameter by using ultrasonic echo. The control and ultrasonic imaging unit emits a control command according to a user operation. The ultrasonic imaging of a target neural tissue scanning area is carried out according to the ultrasonic echo radio frequency data. An ultrasonic transducer array is controlled to be in a neural simulation state or an ultrasonic imaging state according to the high voltage pulse sequence. According to the technical scheme of the utility model, a method of sharing the ultrasonic transducer array by ultrasonic stimulation and ultrasonic imaging is employed, the real-time visualization of an ultrasonic neural stimulation process is realized, and the dynamic adjustment of stimulation target position and stimulation effect evaluation is helped.
