According to the invention, by use of simple linear iteration clustering method in the super-pixel segmentation technology, adjacent pixels with similar characteristics form image blocks, i.e., super-pixels; based on automatic annotation and selection of large-scale training samples, the type of the super-pixels is discriminated through a convolution neural network in the deep learning technology so that initial segmentation of rice spikes is achieved; and based on the entropy rate-based super-pixel segmentation method, initial segmentation results are optimized. Thus, effects caused by great difference in colors, shapes, sizes, poses and textures of different varieties of rice spikes in different growth periods, serious irregular edges of the rice spikes, color aliasing of spike leaves, and uneven and changeable light, shielding and wind blowing in the field can be overcome; precise segmentation of different varieties of rice spikes in different growth periods is achieved; and the method is applicable to segmentation of rice spikes in the pot plant environment. Compared with the prior art, the method is advantaged by high precision and applicability.

The method includes the steps of firstly carrying out a gas-liquid two-phase flow pattern experiment with air and water as media to collect three kinds of gas-liquid two-stage different-flow-pattern electrical conductance fluctuation signals, then carrying out coarse graining processing on flow-pattern signal sequences according to a multi-scale concept to obtain coarse graining time sequences, calculating arrangement entropy of the time sequences in different scales, drawing a distribution map of the multi-scale arrangement entropy, analyzing dynamics evolution characteristics of the multi-scale arrangement entropy according to the gas-liquid two-phase different-flow-pattern characteristics, ultimately calculating the multi-scale arrangement entropy rate according to distribution map of the multi-scale arrangement entropy of different flow patterns to obtain distribution of the multi-scale arrangement entropy of all the flow-pattern signals, and accordingly achieving identification and classification of the flow patterns. According to the method, complexity of gas-liquid two-phase flow-pattern signals is disclosed in terms of time sequence themselves. At first, multilevel preprocessor is used to preprocess that image, as the image is filtered and denoised, the aim of this paper is to improve the characteristics of uneven illumination in aerial video of unmanned aerial vehicles, the entropy rate superpixel segmentation algorithm with superpixel regularity is then used to extract the superpixels from the image, dictionary learning algorithm based on correlation and double sparsity obtains the color ofsuper pixel, texture, geometry, a fusion similarity matrix is constructed for image segmentation, using the texture and geometric features of the RAG fusion region of successive multi-frame images toperform image matching, the motion information of the RAG fusion region is obtained. Furthermore, an image foreground and background segmentation method based on a motion similarity map are proposed to realize the detection of a moving vehicle with a pause state, thereby greatly reducing the difficulty of detecting the moving vehicle. The algorithm of the invention is simple and quick, and can effectively detect the moving vehicle with a pause state in a video shot by an unmanned aerial vehicle.

A method, system and computer program product are provided for progressively encoding a digitized color image with M distinct colors allocated to a set of pixels using a data processing system, the digitized color image being provided by assigning each of the M distinct colors to at least one pixel in the set of pixels. This involves: (a) initializing a tree structure by providing at least one starting leaf node comprising a subset of pixels from the set of pixels; (b) determining at least one representative color for each starting leaf node; and (c) growing the tree structure by (i) selecting a leaf node n to become a non-leaf node n linked to two new leaf nodes based on an associated achievable cost, wherein the associated achievable cost is determined by 1) determining an associated change in distortion resulting from turning the leaf node into the non-leaf node linked to the two new leaf nodes; 2) determining an associated increase in entropy rate resulting from turning the leaf node into the non-leaf node linked to the two new leaf nodes; and, 3) determining the associated achievable cost based on the associated change in distortion and the associated increase in entropy rate; (ii) creating the two new leaf nodes by allocating each pixel in n to one of the two new leaf nodes; (iii) determining a representative color for each of the two new leaf nodes; and (iv) encoding the index information associated with the leaf node n, the representative colors of the two new leaf nodes, and information regarding each pixel in n.
