Vehicle lamp using emitting device for suppressing color tone difference according to illumination conditions

A light-emitting device (2) including a light-emitting element (2a), a first phosphor (2b), and a second phosphor (2c). The light-emitting element (2a) emits light L1 having a wavelength range within the visible region. Manipulation input device

When a vehicle navigation system is manipulated by taking pictures of a user hand motion and gesture with a camera, as the number of apparatuses and operational objects increases, the associated hand shapes and hand motions increase, thus causing a complex manipulation for a user. Furthermore, in detecting a hand with the camera, when the image of a face having color tone information similar to that of a hand appears in an image taken with a camera, or outside light rays such as sun rays or illumination rays vary, detection accuracy is reduced. To overcome such problems, a manipulation input device is provided that includes a limited hand manipulation determination unit and a menu representation unit, whereby a simple manipulation can be achieved and manipulation can accurately be determined. In addition, detection accuracy can be improved by a unit that selects a single result from results determined by a plurality of determination units, based on images taken with a plurality of cameras.

Infrared shielding material microparticle dispersion infrared shield, process for producing infrared shield material microparticle and infrared shielding material microparticle

To provide an infrared-shielding body sufficiently transmitting visible rays, having no half-mirror shaped appearance, requiring no large-scale apparatus when forming a film on a substrate, efficiently shutting invisible near-infrared rays with wavelength range of 780 nm or more, while eliminating a heat treatment at high temperature after film formation, and having a spectral characteristic such as transparency with no change of color tone. The starting material, which is a mixture containing a predetermined amount of a tungsten compound, is heated at 550° C. in a reductive atmosphere for 1 hour, then cooled to room temperature once in an argon atmosphere, thus producing powder of W18O49. Then, the powder, the solvent, and the dispersant are mixed, then subjected to dispersion treatment to obtain a dispersion solution. The dispersion solution and a UV-curable hardcoat resin are mixed to obtain a solution of fine particle dispersion of infrared-shielding material. The solution of the fine particle dispersion of infrared-shielding material is applied on a PET resin film to form a film, which is then cured, and an infrared-shielding film having a transmission profile shown in the figure is thereby obtained.

A halftone processing section halftone-processes input image data using a plurality of dither threshold planes. An image output section having different output position accuracies between a main scan direction and a sub-scan direction outputs an image corresponding to halftone-processed image data. Each of the dither threshold planes consists of a plurality of the same unit threshold matrixes. In the unit threshold matrix, a relatively medium to high threshold array in a predetermined threshold range corresponding to the entire tone range of the input image data is an aperiodic array and an anisotropic array with neighboring thresholds having close values, in a direction coincident with a scan direction, in which the output position accuracy of the image output means is low. With this configuration, the image output section outputs an image having serial medium and high tone dots in the scan direction.

Tone color setting apparatus and method

As the user executes a performance on a preliminary or trial basis, performance data based on the user's performance are evaluated, a performance tendency of the user is extracted as a result of the extraction, and then, performance tendency information, indicative of the extracted performance tendency, is generated. Psychological state, such as a mood or feeling, of the user is detected from the performance tendency, and feeling information, indicative of the detected psychological state, is generated. Then, tone color control information corresponding to the generated feeling information is acquired from a storage section, such as a “mood / feeling” vs. tone color control” correspondence table, the acquired tone color control information is delivered to a tone generator, and desired tone color parameters are set on the basis of the tone color control information. The thus-set tone color parameters will be used for tone color control of performance data generated as the user subsequently executes an actual, formal performance.

Method of texture-based color document segmentation

A method for segmenting a color document into regions of text and halftone discriminates between text and halftone by examining the texture of the document. A color document is digitized, and a color space transform is preferably applied to the digitized document. The texture of the document is identified and a noise reduction step is preferably applied. Bounding boxes (blocks) within the document are identified and then the areas within the bounding boxes are classified as either text or halftone. Two alternative methods are described for examining the document texture. In the first method, a windowing operation is applied to either an intensity image or a color difference image. In the second method, a wavelet transform step combined with Fuzzy K-Mean clustering is applied. Bounding boxes are classified as either text or halftone based upon the relative periodicity of a horizontal or vertical (or both) histogram of each bounding box.

Method and apparatus for recognizing actions

An information processing apparatus obtains a picture containing an image of a person from an imaging device. Also obtained are first data indicating distance of the person and other subjects seen in the picture from the imaging device, second data indicating distance of a wrist of the person from the imaging device, and third data indicating a coordinate position of the wrist in the picture. The information processing apparatus extracts a set of pixels whose coordinates fall within a specified coordinate range defined around the coordinate position of the wrist and whose distances from the imaging device fall within a specified distance range defined around the distance of the wrist. Then based on a ratio representing how many of the extracted pixels have a distinctive color tone, the information processing apparatus determines whether the person has picked up an object.
