108 results about "Bracketing" patented technology

In photography, bracketing is the general technique of taking several shots of the same subject using different camera settings. Bracketing is useful and often recommended in situations that make it difficult to obtain a satisfactory image with a single shot, especially when a small variation in exposure parameters has a comparatively large effect on the resulting image. Given the time it takes to accomplish multiple shots, it is typically, but not always, used for static subjects. Autobracketing is a feature of many modern cameras. When set, it will automatically take several bracketed shots, rather than the photographer altering the settings by hand between each shot.

Focused plenoptic camera employing microlenses with different focal lengths

Methods and apparatus for capturing and rendering images with focused plenoptic cameras employing microlenses with different focal lengths. A focused plenoptic camera that includes an array of microlenses with at least two different focal lengths may be used to simultaneously capture microimages from at least two different planes at different distances from the microlens array. Image operations such as refocusing and focus bracketing may be performed on flats captured with the camera. Images may be constructed from subsets of the microimages captured using each type of microlens, thus creating multiple images each focused at a different depth. An array of stacked microlenses including stacks that provide different focal lengths may be used. The lens stacks may be provided by stacking two microlenses arrays on top of each other in the camera.

Display control apparatus, image capturing apparatus, display control method, and program

A user-preferred image is easily displayed for a plurality of images generated by bracketing capture. A recording control unit 205 adds the same group identifier to a plurality of captured images generated by the same bracketing-capture operation, allocates the plurality of captured images to the same folder, and records the plurality of captured images on a recording unit 206 as bracketing-captured images. A priority image setting unit 209 adds priority information to a bracketing-captured image selected by a user among the bracketing-captured images recorded on the recording unit 206, and sets a priority image. In addition, the priority image setting unit 209 allocates the priority image to a main folder, and allocates bracketing-captured images other than the priority image to a sub-folder. In a predetermined display mode, a display control unit 207 displays only the priority image among the bracketing-captured images on the display unit 208 on the basis of the priority information.

Systems and methods for fast video capture and sensor adjustment

Systems, methods, devices, media, and instructions are described for fast video sensor adjustment. In one embodiment, a portable electronic device with image capturing capabilities automatically captures a first plurality of frames upon selection of an input button while sensors of the device are determining camera settings for the environment. The first plurality of frames are captured using different automatic bracketing settings. Once the camera settings are determined, a second plurality of images are captured using the determined camera settings. One or more of the first plurality of images are used along with the second plurality of images for a video file. The one or more images may be selected based on a match between certain of the automatic bracketing settings and the final camera settings.

Method and System of Bracketing Stimulation Parameters on Clinician Programmers

The present disclosure involves a method of setting stimulation parameters for neurostimulation. A plurality of stimulation parameters available for bracketing is displayed. The stimulation parameters are selected from the group consisting of: stimulation current amplitude, pulse width, frequency, and contact location. Thereafter, in response to an input from a user, at least a subset of the stimulation parameters is selected for bracketing. A respective initial value is then obtained for each of the stimulation parameters in the selected subset. Thereafter, a bracketing process is used to generate a plurality of bracketed values for each of the stimulation parameters in the selected subset. The bracketed values are generated as a function of the initial value. A plurality of stimulation pulses is then delivered to a patient through a neurostimulator that is automatically programmed with a different combination of the bracketed values for the stimulation parameters for each stimulation pulse.

Scanning ir sensor for gas safety and emissions monitoring

Apparatus and methods for rapidly detecting, localizing, imaging, and quantifying leaks of natural gas and other hydrocarbon and greenhouse gases. Scanning sensors, scan patterns, and data processing algorithms enable monitoring a site to rapidly detect, localize, image, and quantify amounts and rates of hydrocarbon leaks. Multispectral short-wave infrared detectors sense non-thermal infrared radiation from natural solar or artificial illumination sources by differential absorption spectroscopy. A multispectral sensor is scanned to envelop an area of interest, detect the presence and location of a leak, and raster scan the area around the leak to create an image of the leak. The resulting absorption image related to differential spectral optical depth is color mapped to render the degree of gas absorption across the scene. Analysis of this optical depth image, with factors including known inline pressures and / or surface wind speed measurements, enable estimation of the leak rate, i.e., emission mass flux of gas.

Printing a true-ink reference, and refining gray accuracy, for optimum color calibration in incremental printing

Ramps are printed with ink of a particular color, and also nominally in that color but by inks of other colors. A measured actual-ink ramp is a standard to fix the other-colors ramp, and correct other printing in those colors. In one aspect a particular color is gray, actual ink black (K), and other-color inks magenta (M), yellow (Y) and cyan (C). In another aspect, actual ink is red (R), green (G) or blue (B); other colors M, Y and C in respective pairs. For gray / black, the K ramp is a zero-chroma standard to lower composite-black (cK) chroma below ˜2.5 ΔE. A sampling aspect prints for each gray tone plural cK-ink combinations preferably bracketing nominal gray values; and searches these for one nearest the particular gray—or most closely bracketing it, for interpolation—for best match. Bracketing is best optimized, by a color-space pattern centered on nominal. Other aspects are taught.

Building construction system

A building construction system is provided having an elongated track (bypass clip track) that overlays a front edge of a concrete slab. The track is secured to a bracketing structure that has foam inserts that become embedded within the top and / or bottom surface of the concrete slab after the concrete hardens. By attaching the track to these foam inserts instead of the concrete directly, breakage or spalling of the slab edge is reduced. Studs are then attached to a stud attachment plate extending from the track, such that thereafter, a wall or façade may be attached to the track that overlays the uneven slab edge.

System and method for encrypting and decrypting document reproductions

The present invention is directed to a system and method for secure document transmission. A sender selects a portion of an original document containing confidential information using a highlighter, bracketing, underlining, or other identifying marks. The original document is then scanned to generate an electronic version, which is subject to optical character recognition to locate the portions of the document containing confidential information based on the identifying marks. These portions containing confidential information are then encrypted and a hybrid document containing non-encrypted portions and encrypted portions is generated. The hybrid document is then sent to a recipient, along with a decryption key. The hybrid document is then marked by the recipient to designate those areas containing encrypted information. The marked document is then scanned to generate an electronic version, which is analyzed to identify which portions require decryption based on the identifying marks made by the recipient. These portions are decrypted and a complete reproduction of the original document is generated for the recipient.
