The present invention discloses compositions and methodologies for the utilization of probiotic organisms in therapeutic compositions. More specifically, the present invention relates to the utilization of one or more species or strains of lactic acid-producing bacteria, preferably strains of Bacillus coagulans, for the control of gastrointestinal tract pathogens, including antibiotic-resistant gastrointestinal tract pathogens, and their associated diseases by both a reduction in the rate of colonization and the severity of the deleterious physiological effects of the colonization of the antibiotic-resistant pathogen. In addition, the present invention relates to the utilization of therapeutic compounds comprised of lactic acid-producing bacteria and anti-microbial agents such as antibiotics, anti-fungal compounds, anti-yeast compounds, or anti-viral compounds. The present invention also discloses methodologies for: (i) the selective breeding and isolation of probiotic, lactic acid-producing bacterial strains which possess resistance or markedly decreased sensitivity to anti-microbial agents (e.g., antibiotics, anti-fungal agents, anti-yeast agents, and anti-viral agents); and (ii) treating or preventing bacteria-mediated infections of the gastrointestinal tract by use of the aforementioned probiotic bacterial strains with or without the concomitant administration of antibiotics. While the primary focus is on the treatment of gastrointestinal tract infections, the therapeutic compositions of the present invention may also be administered to buccal, vaginal, optic, and like physiological locations.

Bacillus psychrosaccharolyticus strain and application thereof in complex microorganism seaweed fertilizer

In the invention, a bacillus psychrosaccharolyticus obtained by screening is used for preparing an efficient complex microorganism seaweed fertilizer. The bacillus strain in the invention is named as bacillus psychrosaccharolyticus and preserved in the Common Microorganism Center under China Microorganism Strain Preservation and Management Committee with a preservation number of CGMCC No.4519. The bacillus psychrosaccharolyticus not only has the capacity of carrying out forced degradation on cellulose and starch but also has a wide antimicrobial spectrum; the bacillus psychrosaccharolyticus strain can be compounded with the traditional common strain for bacterial manure; then mixed zymocyte liquids, plant growth factors, immunoregulation factors, active extractives from seaweed, amino acids, organic matters and trace elements are prepared into an efficient complex mircoorganism seaweed fertilizer with an active viable count of 0.2 billion / g to 1 billion / g and an organic matter content of 20-40% according to a certain proportion. The fertilizer has remarkable capacity in combating plant diseases and insect pests and promoting growth. With the fertilizer, the yield of crops can be increased by more than 30%.

The invention discloses bacillus velezensis HNt7 with broad-spectrum antibacterial activity as well as a preparation method and application. The antagonistic bacterium bacillus velezensis HNt7 has a number of CCTCC (China Center for Type Culture Collection) M 2018022. The preparation method comprises the following steps: A, selecting a bacillus velezensis HNt7 strain individual bacterial colony under a sterile condition and inoculating into a culture medium; adjusting the temperature and carrying out shake culture; B, filling a fermenting solution into each bottle and adding individual bacterial colony bacterium liquid according to the ratio; putting the bottle into a large-amplitude constant-temprature freezing shaking table and carrying out the shake culture; C, separating the antagonistic bacterium: immersing with alcohol with concentration and rinsing with sterile water; carrying out dark culture in a culture box and transferring a grown bacterial colony into a new culture medium and carrying out lineation separation and purification on the bacterial colony; D, after separating and purifying, obtaining the bacillus velezensis HNt7. The bacterium is used for preparing a medicinefor treating or preventing pear fruit rot disease. The strain has a remarkable disease-prevention effect and the prevention effect reaches 70.76 percent or more. After the bacillus velezensis HNt7 isapplied to pear trees, advanced defoliation of the pear trees is remarkably inhibited and the tree vigor is easy to enhance.

Bacillus and application thereof

The invention discloses a bacillus and application thereof, and belongs to the field of biological control. A bacillus strain is bacillus methylotrophicus C1, and a preservation number of the bacillus strain is GDMCC No.60046. The application includes that the bacillus can be used as a biological control strain to be applied to antagonistic crop pathogenic bacteria; the bacillus can be used as a lipopeptide and / or protein fermentation strain for inhibiting crop pathogenic bacteria; the bacillus can be used as a growth promotion strain to be applied to promoting growth of crops; the bacillus can be used as a fermentation strain for auxin. The bacillus and the application have the advantages that the strain has broad-spectrum antibacterial activity; lipopeptide substances with effects of inhibiting fusarium graminearum cannot be generated, but proteins with effects of inhibiting the fusarium graminearum can be generated; effects of promoting growth of corn can be realized by the strain C1, the root lengths and the stalk lengths of the corn of experiment groups are 3.15 and 3.05 times the root lengths and the stalk lengths of contrast groups respectively as compared with contrast, the root, stalk and seed weights of the corn of the experiment groups are 5.02, 4.33 and 1.4 times the root, stalk and seed weights of the contrast groups, and only little auxin can be generated by the strain C1.
