A system and method for encryption, transmission and decryption of data based on a publicly or other wide area broadcast random number sequence. Encryption is by a selected subsequence from the broadcast random number sequence, the selection being at a sample time relative to a synchronization event, with the sample time calculated based on a private key. Decryption uses the same private key to select the same subsequence from the broadcast random number sequence, as detection by the sender and receiver of the synchronization event and a sampling time based on a commonly known private key allows the sampling to be synchronous. The method of the present invention detects a starting point of a dynamic activity interval periodically or in real time by sensing movement of a user in daily life, and provides an exercise program for filling a deficient amount of activity compared to a target value in the detected activity interval when the starting point is detected. Therefore, the method of the present invention may simply provide feedback for an amount of activity of a pertinent interval at an actual starting point of the dynamic activity interval, and thus the user may effectively follow the provided exercise program for correcting life patterns.

A low-cost implementation of a switching system using a multiport network switch avoids the necessity of a microprocessor by using programmable array logic (PAL) configured to drive a non-volatile memory. The PAL includes an address generator state machine, a PCI control signal state machine, and an interrupt state machine. The non-volatile memory sequentially outputs address and data information, under the control of the address generator state machine, onto a bus connected to the network switch in order to initialize the network switch with initialization and configuration data. The PCI control signal state machine provides control signals causing the output address and data information to mimic a PCI burst transfer. Once the network switch has been configured, the non-volatile memory outputs a start command causing the network switch to begin running in a free-running mode. A memory overflow interrupt in the network switch is also enabled, causing the PAL to reset the network switch if overloaded.

The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for testing receiver antennas in radio base stations. A low-power RF signal is emitted, having a frequency corresponding to the carrier frequency of the receiver. This signal is coupled to a transmitter antenna to be transmitted to a receiver antenna of the same system. The signal thus received is analysed by the receiver in order to determine the integrity of the receiver antenna.

A motherboard includes two bus connectors. Each connector has contact positions for a set of serial data lanes. An improved vehicle communications interface (VCI) is both economical and readily adaptable for running new software. The improved VCI includes a server coupled to a bank of processors. A method for selectively providing power supply voltage to a memory device. The method provides an integrated circuit memory device including a first plurality of memory cells. Each memory cell includes a power terminal and a ground terminal. The method includes selecting a second plurality of memory cells from the first plurality of memory cells. The method provides a first power voltage to the power terminal of each of the selected memory cells and a second power voltage to the power terminal of each of the unselected memory cells. The second power voltage is lower than the first power voltage. In an embodiment, the method applies a first ground voltage to the ground terminal of each of the selected memory cells and applies a second ground voltage to the ground terminal of each of the unselected memory cells. The second ground voltage is higher than the first ground voltage.
