Multi-user display proxy server

A multi-user host computer system comprises processor blades combined with terminal services blades to provide acceleration and proxy server functions for supporting a variety of remote terminals. For each remote terminal, the terminal services blade and proxy server functions may improve the video and graphics performance. This allows the multi-user host computer system to more efficiently support multiple users. The terminal services blade may include a graphics processor that manages a virtual display for each remote terminal and provides selective updates of sub frame data. Where appropriate, the sub frame data is encoded and transmitted over the network to the remote terminals. The terminal services processor also offloads and optimizes video data streams for the intended remote terminals and their respective network connections. Processor blades may include a baseboard management controller that utilizes advanced features for supporting remote KVM administration.

Method for production of medical records and other technical documents

A computer implemented system for the production of medical records, legal documents and other frequently produced semi-technical documents. This is accomplished by generating an intelligent computer-guided interview and the use of serialized scriptable objects. Major program elements include a knowledge base text file, a parse engine, and an execution module. The knowledge base uses a unique rule syntax. The parse engine converts the textual knowledge base file to a compiled binary representation which can then be interpreted by the execution module. The execution module leads the user through the interview by generating a series of questions and presents possible answers in the form of pick lists. The data is recorded with a computer pen and collated into a document file. This file is coded in binary format and can be written to and recalled from disk. If the file is recalled from disk the user can continue to answer questions or change answers previously given. The result is a mobile computing system whereby data is input in a structured format. When the program is executed the user is prompted for answers to questions and, based upon the user's response, the final document can change considerably. Depending upon each answer, the program may change the subsequent questions being asked, change the list associated with a question, change the text being generated, or change the entire structure of the document. The data collected may be also be stored in a database for analysis at a later date. Finally, the data collected is output in a narrative text format which can be tailored according to the traditions and expectations of the user's profession. The program will output the text via a printer or it can be transmitted via electronic means.

System and method for optical coherence imaging

A system and method for imaging of a sample, e.g., biological sample, are provided. In particular, at least one source electro-magnetic radiation forwarded to the sample and a reference may be generated. A plurality of detectors may be used, at least one of the detectors capable of detecting a signal associated with a combination of at least one first electro-magnetic radiation received from the sample and at least one second electro-magnetic radiation received from the reference. At least one particular detector may have a particular electrical integration time, and can receive at least a portion of the signal for a time duration which has a first portion with a first power level greater than a predetermined threshold and a second portion immediately preceding or following the first portion. The second portion may have a second power level that is less than the predetermined threshold, and extends for a time period which may be, e.g., approximately more than 10% of the particular electrical integration time.

Method and apparatus for access control list (ACL) binding in a data processing system

Methods, computer programs, and systems for updating an access control list (ACL) associated with one or more resources in a data processing system are provided. The method includes providing a table including a list of one or more first ACLs that map to a corresponding one or more previously computed second ACLs; and updating a current ACL associated with a first resource of the one or more resources in the data processing system including determining whether one of the one or more first ACLs in the table matches the current ACL associated with the first resource. If one of the one or more first ACLs in the table matches the current ACL associated with the first resource then updating the current ACL associated with the first resource by associating the corresponding second ACL with the first resource.

Method and system for automatically parking vehicles

An automatic parking system having at least one parking level, the system comprises a plurality of transporters moveable in any direction about the parking level, wherein each transporter is adapted to hold a vehicle thereupon; at least one central computer that is configured to wirelessly direct one of the transporters to move to a desired location to form at least one arrival and / or retrieval circulation path. The system includes a transporter tracking system which tracks the locations of each transporter; and alternatively, at least one lift mechanism which vertically transports the transporter to a desired parking level. The system includes access bays configured to position an arriving vehicle onto and remove an exiting vehicle from the transporter. The system preferably includes storage devices to accept, release and recharge one or more transporters. The system preferably includes entry stations which measure the vehicle dimensions.

Method and system for providing a magnetic memory structure utilizing spin transfer

ActiveUS20070279968A1Improved efficiency in area usage and access timeEffective areaDigital storageWrite currentEngineering
A method and system for providing a magnetic memory is described. The method and system include providing magnetic memory cells, local and global word lines, bit lines, and source lines. Each magnetic memory cell includes a magnetic element and a selection device connected with the magnetic element. The magnetic element is programmed by first and second write currents driven through the magnetic element in first and second directions. The local word lines are connected with the selection device of and have a first resistivity. Each global word line corresponds to a portion of the local word lines and has a resistivity lower than the first resistivity. The bit lines are connected with the magnetic element. The source lines are connected with the selection device. Each source line corresponds to a more than one of the magnetic memory cells and carries the first and second write currents.
