Sealing material which swells when treated with water

InactiveUS6358580B1Safely preventingRapid and sizable and controlled swellingCosmetic preparationsOrganic detergent compounding agentsElastomerCallose
The invention relates to an optionally foamed sealing composition for preformed seals which can swell when treated with water. The invention also relates to a method for the production thereof out of natural rubber and / or elastomers with a matrix comprised of natural rubber / elastomer components and particle-shaped water absorbing material stored therein. The water absorbing material is a combination of (A) polysaccharide(s) selected from cellulose, starch, starch derivatives removed from grafted starch, amylose, amylopectin, dextran, pectin, inulin, chitin, xanthan, alginic acid, alginates, carrageenan, pustulan, callose, laminarin, guluronic acid, pullulan, lichenin or mixtures of the same with (B) a highly water absorbent synthetic polymer selected from polymers based on (meth)acrylate, poly(meth)acrylic acid and the salts thereof, polyacrylamide, polyalcohols or copolymers of said synthetic polymers. The invention also relates to additional cross-linking and processing auxiliary agents and to property improving agents. It is possible to securely seal superstructures, substructures, tunnels and canals with the assistance of the inventive sealing compositions.

System and method for integrating call detail records for a multiple network environment

A system and method for integrating call detail records for a multiple network environment includes an operations support system having call detail record control logic configured to combine wireless and wireline call detail records that correspond to the same customer into an integrated call record. Access manager control logic connected to the wireless network and switching control logic connected to the wireline network generate wireless and wireline call detail records that are received at the operations support system. Advantageously, combining the wireless and wireline call detail records forms an integrated call record.

Vascular cannula assembly with an improved structure for confining blood flow

InactiveUS20100241068A1Restricted blood flowAdvantage in useStentsBalloon catheterVeinDilator
A vascular cannula assembly has a cannula, a tube dilator, a supporting helix and an inflatable cuff. The cannula has a distal end, a proximal end, a passage and a drainage segment. The drainage segment has multiple draining apertures communicating with the passage. A valve mounted on the distal end of the cannula can prevent air from entering the cannula. The tube dilator is selectively mounted in the passage and has a leading end and a handling end respectively protruding from the distal end and proximal end of the cannula. The supporting helix is mounted in the passage against the cannula. The inflatable cuff is mounted around the cannula between the distal end and the drainage segment. The side tubing is connected to the inflatable cuff. Since the inflatable cuff can be inflated to occlude blood draining from vena cava, use of the vascular cannula assembly can prevent injuries by snaring or looping of vessels during surgical procedures for cardiopulmonary bypass.

Occluder

An occluder for occluding a passage in a body, especially in a left atrial appendage (LAA), comprises elongate members having a first end and a second end, the ends being held in or attached to holders, wherein the elongate members extend independently from each other between the holders and wherein the elongate members are collectively enveloped by at least one jacket. The jacket restricts a bending motion of the elongate members when their first ends are approximated to their second ends by moving the two holders relatively to each other. The occluder uses an expanding structure which can be easily handled whereby the movement of the elongate members is restricted by at the jackets which envelop the elongate members. At least the elongate members can be made of bioresorbable material.

Slide assist mechanism AMD draw-in unit

A slide assist mechanism includes a case attached to one of a main body or a moving body; a slider disposed freely slidably in the case; a latch supported by the slider so as to be switched between a standby position which locks in a corresponding portion of the case and a draw-in position which releases the locking; a draw-in unit including an urging device; and an operation member attached to the another of the main body or the moving body and switching the latch from the standby position to the draw-in position, or switching the latch from the draw-in position to the standby position. When the latch is switched from the standby position to the draw-in position, due to an urging force which has been accumulated in the urging device, the slide assist mechanism allows the moving body to move from a first position to a second position on a main body side through the operation member. In the slider, the urging device is disposed on a lower surface side, and also one end in a sliding direction includes an attachment device for the urging device.

Head-mounted display device

A head-mounted display device including a display and a beam combiner is provided. The display is configured to emit an image bean, and the beam combiner includes a plurality of stacked light-splitting layers. The light-splitting layers include a first light-splitting layer and a second light-splitting layer. The image beam is adapted to enter and exit the beam combiner through the first light-splitting layer. The first light-splitting layer is located between the second light-splitting layer and the display. The beam combiner satisfies 0.7≤R1 / (T1×R2×T1)≤1.3. Here, R1 is light reflectivity of the first light-splitting layer, T1 is light transmittance of the first light-splitting layer, and R2 is light reflectivity of the second light-splitting layer. The head-mounted display device provided herein has advantages of usage convenience and compactness.
