The invention provides a control method for
processing the
multimedia communication in a control device of a video conference
system, which comprises the step c of sending format
control signal commands to a plurality of terminals respectively, wherein the format
control signal commands are used for indicating the terminals to send parameter specification indexes of video signals to the control device. The method is characterized in that the parameter specification index contained in the format
control signal command sent to the first terminal is different from the parameter specification indexes contained in the format control
signal commands sent to other terminals. The invention also provides a controller for
processing the
multimedia communication in the control device of the video conference
system, and an auxiliary control method and a corresponding auxiliary controller for
processing the
multimedia communication in terminal devices of the video conference
system. A video terminal adjusts the video signals according to conditions and compresses the video signals to have the most appropriate resolution ratio so that a multi-point
control unit decodes the video signals with theminimum data volume to save the processing capacity of the multi-point
control unit and the network bandwidth.
