Tissue products are disclosed containing an additive composition. The additive composition, for instance, comprises an aqueous dispersion containing an olefin polymer, an ethylene-carboxylic acid copolymer, or mixtures thereof. The olefin polymer may comprise an interpolymer of ethylene and octene, while the ethylene-carboxylic acid copolymer may comprise ethylene-acrylic acid copolymer. The additive composition may also contain a dispersing agent, such as a fatty acid. The additive composition may be incorporated into the tissue web by being combined with the fibers that are used to form the web. Alternatively, the additive composition may be topically applied to the web after the web has been formed. After the additive composition is applied to the web or otherwise incorporated into the tissue web, the tissue web is embossed. During embossing, the additive composition forms well defined embossments in the web that are water resistant. In one embodiment, the additive composition may also be used to bond multiple tissue webs together to form a multiple ply product during the embossing operation.

Apparatus and method for combined optical-coherence-tomographic and confocal detection

This invention provides a better apparatus and method for the generation of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Confocal Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope (CSLO) images, using a dual-waveguiding module. A dual-waveguiding structure consists of a single-mode and a multi-mode waveguide each with optimum size and numerical aperture for highly efficient collection of the OCT and CSLO optical signals. Separation of the two signals is achieved by channeling most of the multi-mode guided optical power to a CSLO detector. The non-tapped single-mode guided optical wave is further sent to a pure single-mode fiber of a standard OCT system for OCT image generation. The present invention achieves highly efficient optical power usage and hence high signal to noise ratio, together with inherent pixel-to-pixel registration of the OCT and CSLO images, and a cost reduction of the OCT / CSLO combo system.

Disintegrating Compression Set Plug with Short Mandrel

A compression set sealing element preferably 85A-95A TDI-Ester Polyurethane is compressed axially and retained against extrusion by CEM anti-extrusion rings. The compressed state of the sealing element is locked in by a degradable lock ring assembly. The mandrel is secured to an upper end of a slip cone and a breakable slip ring is secured by a wireline setting tool until the set position is reached. The slip ring breaks into segments that are pulled up the slip cone as the setting tool pushes on a sleeve to axially compress the sealing element and lock in the set. The sealing element is retained against extrusion by CEM anti-extrusion rings. When the setting tool is removed a ball seat is exposed for delivery of a ball to build pressure into the formation for fracturing. The entirety of the plug then disintegrates from well fluid exposure.
