An arrangement for interrupting current comprises a first and a second terminal. First, second, and third parallel circuit branches are arranged between the terminals to electrically connect two power networks. The first parallel circuit branch comprises a mechanical main circuit breaker, the second parallel circuit branch comprises an energy absorbing device, and the third parallel circuit branch comprises a resonant circuit and a voltage control means arranged in series. The voltage control means is controllable to inject energy into the resonant circuit to force a rapid increase of alternating current, wherein the alternating current flows in a loop containing the first and the third parallel circuit branches as the mechanical main circuit breaker is controlled to open to interrupt main current. Zero cross-over of the current through the mechanical main circuit breaker is thereby realized as the alternating current amplitude exceeds the main current amplitude.

An energy absorbing device is adapted to limit the voltage across said capacitor and said mechanical breaker when the mechanical breaker is open, and across an inductive element if the voltage across the mechanical breaker breaks down, at or immediately after an opening process, thereby limiting the rate-of-rise and the peak of the current through said loop.

Its main feature is that at least one of the side faces of the contact device provides an open flange which has an internal through hole, and the bottom of a rotating shaft disposed on the bottom part provides a stressed member. The stressed member receives the over-pressure airflow escaping from the open flange of the contact device to generate a force. The force is passed to the activating member by the rotating shaft and is magnified, then hits the latch quickly and makes a trip. An intermediate step is bypassed due to the force produced earlier, the force which is produced by the electromagnetism part in the heat energy and electromagnetic system, so that the low-voltage breaker can open quickly and reduces opening time greatly and improve the breaking capability.

The contact structure confines the arc created when contacts open to the thin area between two insulating surfaces in intimate contact. This forces the arc into the shape of a thin sheet which loses heat energy far more rapidly than an arc column having a circular cross-section. These high heat losses require a dramatic increase in the voltage required to maintain the arc, thus extinguishing it when the required voltage exceeds the available voltage. The arc extinguishing process with this invention is not dependent on the occurrence of a current zero crossing and, consequently, is capable of rapidly interrupting both AC and DC circuits. The method can allocate power values of the user nodes according to channel state information; the power allocation value is a segmented function related to the asymmetric factors; and the nodes can adjust transmitting power adaptively according to change of the channel states, thereby improving outage performance of the asymmetric channel communication system.
