For application of active substances to a wound surface a porous padding (12) is provided upon the wound (10), which is sealingly covered over with a foil (14). A fluid active substance is introduced into the padding (12) via a supply line (22) and is then suctioned out of the padding (12) via a removal line (26). Closure mechanisms (32, 34) control the introduction of the active substance and the suctioning off of the active substance in the manner, that the active substance after being introduced remains for a predetermined dwell time in the padding (12), before it is suctioned off. After the suctioning off the vacuum in the padding (12) is maintained for a certain time period, before renewed introduction of the active substance. The opening of the closure mechanisms (32, 34) are temporally controlled to occur slowly.

Described is an initial liquid composition with at least antimicrobial, antibacterial, and / or anti-viral properties comprising chelated metal oxide particles suspended in a polyol, such that metal oxide particles are homogeneously dispersed in the primarily liquid based polyol carrier and such that the chelated metal oxide particles form a stable complex suspension that can eventually become an alkaline based aqueous silver oxide dispersion. The liquid composition (with or without chitosan) can be subsequently added to essentially any polymer or polymer compound / system where the polymer degrades or melts at a temperature lower than the polyol carrier degradation or boiling temperature. The metal oxide complex may also impart beneficial semi-conductive or conductive as well as permeability and flammability property changes to the polymer (host) system. This technique allows for providing chelated metal oxide complexes to essentially any polymeric host without substantially altering the necessary physio-chemical properties of the original polymeric system. Use of the polyol chelated metal oxide complex additive carrier infused into a polymeric, food and / or beverage host is also included.

The present invention discloses a novel engine controlled by combustion reaction path, which cylinders comprise working cylinders and reforming cylinders. According to the operational condition of engine, the engine is used for compressing, heating and reforming the fuel injected from the reforming cylinder injector; by controlling the reaction boundary conditions between fuel and air, the reforming cylinder can exhaust partial intermediate products or oxidation products of the different oxidation stages; the products are then mixes with the inlet air in the pre-mixing chamber and then is introduced into the working cylinder. Under operating in different working conditions, the engine can discharge the mixed gas with different activities under different oxidation stages by regulating the corresponding boundary conditions of the reforming reaction of the reforming cylinder, and can achieve concentration stratification and activity stratification of the mixed gas in the working cylinder by using the fuel injected from the working cylinder injectors, and can effectively achieve high effectiveness and broaden the scope of clean combustion by changing the combustion reaction path. The present invention just adopts simple oxidation reaction post-treatment device, and then the emission of the engine can meet the requirement of EuroVI emission regulation.
