Display device

A display device includes: i) a substrate member having a transparent area and a plurality of pixel areas, the pixel areas being spaced apart from each other along a first direction and a second direction, the transparent area located between the pixel areas, the second direction being perpendicular to the first direction; and ii) an emission layer located at each of the pixel areas. Among the plurality of pixel areas, a width of the transparent area along the first direction between two pixel areas varies along the second direction. The first direction may be the horizontal direction of a screen realized by the substrate member, the second direction may be a vertical direction, and the emission layer may have a width along the horizontal direction that varies along the vertical direction.

Process for treating water and apparatus therefor

The invention provides a process and apparatus for treating water, which can be stably operated with high efficiency over a long period of time. The apparatus has a grounding electrode and a pair of applying electrodes connected to a DC voltage source through a register and first and second high-frequency switches which are controlled by a high-frequency switching commander circuit, to convert DC voltage from the DC voltage source to AC voltage to be fed to the applying electrodes. The high-frequency switching commander circuit is connected to a first high-frequency oscillation circuit connected to a control circuit which is controlled by a second high-frequency oscillation circuit, to provide a signal changing randomly in frequency as output signal from the first high-frequency oscillation circuit. The second high-frequency oscillation circuit also controls a flip-flop circuit connected to the first high-frequency oscillation circuit, to add acutely and momentary frequency fluctuating portions in randomly frequency changing signal from the first oscillation circuit.

Method and system for tracking two communications participants of an optical satellite communications system

Method and system for tracking between two communications participants of an optical satellite communications system to provide a communication connection between the two communications participants. The method includes transmitting a signal from a first of the two communications participants to a second of the two communications participants, in which the second communications participant includes a detector arrangement with a plurality of detectors in a common receiving plane. The method also includes acquiring a phase of the signal at each of the plurality of detectors and determining phase differences between the phases via a phase-processor, determining from the phase differences a phase angle of an alignment of the signal to the receiving plane, processing the phase angle with a tracking computer in order to align the receiving plane of the second communications participant with the signal, whereby the phase difference becomes zero, and continuously calibrating the plurality of detectors of the detector arrangement.
