Toothbrush having tufted bristles and tongue brush bristles emanating from the same surface

ActiveUS20170127818A1Easy to cleanRigid enoughBristleSoft plaqueEngineering
A toothbrush can include tufted bristles and tongue brush bristles that emanate from the same surface of the head. The tufted bristles can function primarily to clean the teeth whereas the tongue brush bristles can function primarily to clean the surface of the tongue. The tongue brush bristles can also insert between teeth and along the gum line when the toothbrush is used to brush the teeth thereby enhancing the toothbrush's effectiveness for removing bacteria, food particles, and / or soft plaque from the teeth.

Device to alternately supply a fluid to an analyzer

Abstract of the Disclosure Apparatus and methods for supplying a portion of a fluid stream and, alternately, a fluid of known composition and concentration to an analyzer are provided. The fluid stream is directed through a series of connected chambers formed in an integral housing. A sampling needle has an inlet in one of the chambers and an outlet in fluid communication with the analyzer. When desired, a tube or vial containing a known fluid may be inserted into a chamber containing the sampling needle, so that the known fluid will be supplied to the analyzer. A second needle provides ventilation to the vial to prevent the formation of a vacuum as the known fluid is drained from the vial.

Directional fluid inlet

A fluid inlet portion for a waterless urinal cartridge is presented. The fluid inlet portion comprises to fluid director comprising a non-linear surface proximate a throat portion of the cartridge formed to impart a horizontal velocity component to fluid flowing through the throat portion of the cartridge to reduce vertical turbulence within the fluid. The fluid director can be formed so that it is in fluid communication with at least part of a fluid layer within the cartridge. The non-linear surface imparts a horizontal velocity component, thereby reducing disruption of the fluid layer by fluid flowing through the throat portion of the cartridge. The fluid director may be positioned within the cartridge to impart a substantially horizontal swirling motion to fluid within the cartridge. A fluid deflector proximate the fluid director can receive fluid from the fluid deflector and for re-directing the fluid from the fluid director.

Component brush system

A component brush system for use with a drive shaft, including at least two connectable-disconnectable members. Each connectable-disconnectable member has a top surface, a bottom surface and a middle sandwiched between the top and bottom surfaces. At least one of the connectable-disconnectable members has at least one groove disposed in at least a portion of at least one of its top or bottom surfaces. The groove is located between the connectable-disconnectable members when they are connected together. The system includes at least one elongate flexible cleaning member. At least a portion of the cleaning member is located within the groove and is secured in place between the connectable-disconnectable members and a remainder of the cleaning member extends away therefrom. At least one the connectable-disconnectable members includes a drive shaft joint where the drive shaft is removably connectable with the connectable-disconnectable member.

Hull cleaner

A boat hull cleaner comprises a pole having at least two parts 2, 3 which can be set at an angle with respect to one another, a float 6, and a brush 7, the float having a buoyancy portion which gives a minimum buoyancy to the float. The float has an opening or openings arranged to admit water into the float when it is tilted while under water with the result that effective buoyancy of the float is adjusted. The hull cleaner is formed such that when it is in use a human operator can hold one end of the pole from above water level and move it to manipulate the float and the brush beneath water level such that the float encourages the brush against a boat hull to assist the operator to clean the hull.
