A light-emitting device includes a light-emitting diode, a red light-emitting phosphor layer, a yellow light-emitting phosphor layer, and a blue light-emitting phosphor layer. These layers are stacked in the stacking sequence of the yellow, blue, and red phosphor layers in order of increasing distance from the LED. The stacking sequence of the yellow and blue phosphor layers is first determined in such a manner that these layers do not interact with each other. The stacking sequence of the red and yellow phosphor layers and the stacking sequence of the red and blue phosphor layers are determined by the discriminant D. This determination of the stacking sequence suppresses a reduction in the conversion efficiency of the phosphors due to concentration quenching, improving the emission efficiency of the light-emitting device.

A liquid crystal display device 10 according to the present invention includes a liquid crystal panel 11 and a backlight unit 12. At least one of the substrates 11a and 11b of the liquid crystal panel 11 includes a color filter 19 with a plurality of color sections R, G, B, and Y that exhibit the colors of blue, green, red, and yellow, respectively. The backlight unit 12 includes LEDs 24 as the light source. Each LED 24 includes an LED element as a light emitting source and a phosphor configured to emit light when excited by the light from the LED element. The phosphor includes at least two types of phosphors with different dominant emission wavelengths in a range of 480 nm to 580 nm.

The method for measuring the light stability of the monascus red pigment comprises the following steps: separating commercially available powdered monascorubin or paste monascorubin to obtain a red pigment, a nacarat pigment and a yellow pigment, respectively dissolving the obtained pigments into distilled water to prepare a pigment solution with certain concentration, and measuring the initial absorbance of the distilled water serving as a blank by an ultraviolet visible spectrophotometer; putting a certain amount of the pigment solution into a plate with the diameter phi of 12cm, putting the plate under a 40W ultraviolet lamp for irradiation at the distance of 15cm, and taking out the plate to measure the absorbance every 20min. The method disclosed by the invention has the characteristics of high accuracy, high repetitiveness, simplicity and convenience in operation and the like.

The raw materials are fully ground after being weighed according to a stoichiometric ratio, are put into a muffle furnace and are subjected to low-temperature primary pre-sintering and high-temperature secondary sintering, a three-dimensional net structure having special rigidity of a matrix compound is utilized to achieve self-reduction of tetravalent manganese ions into divalent manganese ions in a non-reducing atmosphere, and the inorganic phosphate red and yellow fluorescent powder is obtained. The fluorescent powder can be applied for red and yellow fluorescent powder for warm white LEDs. Self-reduction of the tetravalent manganese ions into the divalent manganese ions is achieved through direct sintering under air conditions. The raw materials are simple, easily available and low in cost. The preparing process is simple. The prepared red and yellow fluorescent powder cannot be oxidized in high-temperature environment, and chromaticity coordinates do not be offset. The method is a method of preparing the divalent manganese ion activated fluorescent powder through manganese ion self-reduction.
