Determining best time to reach customers in a multi-channel world ensuring right party contact and increasing interaction likelihood

Estimating best time to contact a customer may include estimating a statistical model which computes a score for determining a successful contact with the customer for the time period based on a first set of historical customer contact data. A second set of historical customer contact data associated with at least one customer may be received and the score of a successful contact may be provided for the customer based on the second set of historical data and the estimated statistical model.

System and method for achieving fast and reliable time-to-contact estimation using vision and range sensor data for autonomous navigation

Described is a robotic system for detecting obstacles reliably with their ranges by a combination of two-dimensional and three-dimensional sensing. In operation, the system receives an image from a monocular video and range depth data from a range sensor of a scene proximate a mobile platform. The image is segmented into multiple object regions of interest and time-to-contact (TTC) value are calculated by estimating motion field and operating on image intensities. A two-dimensional (2D) TTC map is then generated by estimating average TTC values over the multiple object regions of interest. A three-dimensional TTC map is then generated by fusing the range depth data with image. Finally, a range-fused TTC map is generated by averaging the 2D TTC map and the 3D TTC map.

Emergency in-lane steering assist with braking

An emergency in-lane steering assist system for use during a braking event comprises an object sensor for detecting the presence of an object in front of a motor vehicle and providing data from which the distance from the object to the motor vehicle is determined and a velocity sensor providing data from which the forward velocity of the motor vehicle is determined. A controller in communication with the object sensor and the velocity sensor calculates a Time to Contact (TTC) with the detected object and a steering system is responsive at least in part to operation by the controller. If the calculated TTC is less than a predetermined TTC, the controller provides a lateral steering input during the braking event to reduce the linear distance traveled by the motor vehicle relative to a predetermined path in the lane.
