Computer system and method for business data processing

The system enables business people to understand the impact of business transactions, changes and events in real-time using advanced rules and analytics to filter, categorize and interpret the significance of streams of real-time information. Most business performance analysis today is done manually and this process is a time consuming and skilled task leading to a time delay in producing the analysis. This time lag between the transaction or event happening and being able to take action on the analysis is measured in weeks or months at many companies. By blending real-time information with historical data and performance goals, this system enables business users to assess business events and collaborate within teams to drive optimal business performance. Using forecasting techniques enables business managers to predict the likelihood of achieving a particular goal without relying on manual analysis by a skilled analyst. The system automatically updates the forecast based on real-time changing data, enabling the business manager to have an up to the minute and statistically valid projection of future business performance.

Target-Less Auto-Alignment Of Image Sensors In A Multi-Camera System

A pair of cameras having an overlapping field of view is aligned based on images captured by image sensors of the pair of cameras. A pixel shift is identified between the images. Based on the identified pixel shift, a calibration is applied to one or both of the pair of cameras. To determine the pixel shift, the camera applies correlation methods including edge matching. Calibrating the pair of cameras may include adjusting a read window on an image sensor. The pixel shift can also be used to determine a time lag, which can be used to synchronize subsequent image captures.

Computer Implemented Method and System of Trading Indicators Based on Price and Volume

A method and system for providing trading indicators for selected instruments traded in a market such as stocks, currency contracts, bonds, commodities contracts, options contracts, and futures contracts. The method and system create trading indicators using Time and Sales data as provide by exchanges or financial data providers. The method comprise parsing time, price and volume of individual transactions into a collection of volume per price bracket per time interval quantities, wherein each quantity is an aggregate volume of transactions executed during one of a set of sequential time intervals and executed at prices within one of a set of price brackets. The method generate trading indicators by using mathematical algorithms to score individual volume per price bracket per time interval quantities corresponding to an evaluation time interval against a population of individual volume per price bracket per time interval quantities corresponding to a set of previous time intervals. The system generates trading indicators in real time, without the time lag associated to traditional technical analysis indicators. The method and system can also generate trend indicators based on analysis of volume accumulation, and defines trading indicators based on maximum volume prices.

Shock absorbing vehicle body structure

A shock absorbing vehicle body structure in a vehicle includes a substantially quadrilateral front subsidiary frame comprised of left and right side members extending in a longitudinal direction of a vehicle body and connected at their front and rear ends to each other by a front cross member and a rear cross member. The front subsidiary frame is supported at its four corners on main frames for the vehicle body through rubber mounts and bolts. Upon full-lap collision of the vehicle, the left rear bolt is first broken, whereby the rear end of the left side member is separated from the main frame and then, the right rear bolt is broken, whereby the rear end of the right side member is separated from the main frame. The right and left side members are formed with different rigidities to a longitudinal load applied thereto, which causes the right and left rear bolts to break at different times, or with a time lag therebetween. Such a time lag decreases the peak value of deceleration of the vehicle at a time when the front subsidiary frame is separated from the main frames due to a full-lap collision of the vehicle.

Exhaust switch-over valve malfunction detection system of internal combustion engine

A system for detecting malfunctions of an exhaust switch-over valve of an internal combustion engine, which opens / closes a bypass exhaust gas passage branched from an exhaust pipe of the engine and storing an adsorbent that adsorbs unburned components of the exhaust gas generated by the engine when the engine is started. In the system, the entrance temperature and the exit temperature in the bypass exhaust gas passage are detected and compared with each other in a first detection period when the passage is opened and in a second detection period when the passage is closed. Based on this comparison, it is determined whether the valve malfunctions. Alternatively, the valve malfunction is determined by comparing the valve opening / closing state with an instruction to operate the valve. With this, little time lag exists in the detection, thereby improving malfunction detection accuracy.

Engine restart apparatus and method

The present invention relates to a start-stop “mild hybrid” vehicle with a starting system which utilizes traditional engine and transmission architecture. The present invention separates the pinion actuator solenoid from the starter motor power switching circuit. A power relay is provided to switch the starter motor. The pinion gear in the present invention is pre-shuttled to, and held in mesh with, the flywheel ring gear during engine stop conditions. A “prime current” is then applied to the power relay just below that which is required to energize the power relay. Upon request for an engine start, the current will increase to energize the relay and allow the starter motor to spin. A significant amount of time lag is thusly removed from the starting system permitting an expedient restart and launch. The pinion actuator solenoid in this invention may also have two coils which may be selectively energized.
