The advantages of this invention reside in the use of mainly renewable raw materials, a fast and complete biodegradability of the natural biopolymer filter material, a pollutant-reducing flavor-increasing filtering effect and an economically favorable preparation method.

Electric heating for hookah

Electric heat for generating smoke from tobacco or the like in a hookah type smoking pipe. Electric heat is obtained from an electrically powered heating element which may be placed proximate the tobacco. The heating element may be contained within a housing which in turn may be placed above the smoking chamber of the hookah. The housing may have adjustably damped holes disposed to pass air over the heating element. Electrical circuitry serving the heating element may comprise a step down transformer and a voltage adjusting switch. The heating element may be integral with the hookah, may take the form of a separate component which is mountable over the smoking chamber of the hookah, or may comprise a free standing assembly which may be placed to stand adjacent to the hookah.

Botanic Solid Vapor Generation Apparatus

A vapor generator for generating vapors from a solid fuel is described. The vapor generator may comprise a fuel chamber for containing the fuel, an electrical heating element, associated controls, and a battery. The fuel is heated by ambient air drawn past the heating element, and is subsequently conducted into the fuel chamber. A screen may interpose a barrier between the fuel and the heating element, so that fuel is heated only convectively by air and not by direct contact with the heating element. The fuel chamber is modularly detachable from the heating element. Modules including the heating element and the fuel chamber may be joined by a ball and socket arrangement, thereby enabling ready assembly into a unitized assembly, and disassembled to enable the heating elements and related components to be utilized with a pre-existing smoking pipe or cigarette.

Auto Igniting Smoking Pipe

A smoking pipe comprising an elongated body with a removable chassis located therein. Located on the chassis is a lighter with an activation switch and flame opening located on one end. The lighter is positioned in the chassis so that the lighter's flame opening is located adjacent to the upper bowl on the bowl assembly also mounted on the chassis. Formed over the upper bowl are air openings which allow heated hot gas to enter the bowl and vaporize or burn material placed therein Rotatably mounted on the lower neck on the bowl assembly is a ratchet. Attached to the ratchet is an elongated mouthpiece. The ratchet which includes a cam surface with a hook formed thereon that engages the distal end of a pawl. The proximal end of the pawl sits in a receiving cavity form a moveable head also mounted on the chassis that selectively presses against the activation switch on the lighter. The relative locations of the cam surface, smoke bores on the bowl assembly, and the mouthpiece are designed so that less movement of the mouthpiece is required to activate the lighter.
