The image processing method provided by the invention comprises the following steps of: firstly, constructing an envelope cube taking an appointed observation point as the centre in a virtual scene; then, obtaining perspective picture screenshots that the observation point faces to various surfaces of the envelope cube; and finally, combining the perspective picture screenshots that the observation point faces to various surfaces of the envelope cube to form a shape matched with the shape of a pre-set imaging medium and a vision angle, so that a source image is obtained, wherein the shape of the imaging medium comprises a sphere or a part of the sphere, an oval or a part of the oval and a ring or a part of the ring. By means of the method, a non-planar source image matched with the imaging medium can be generated; and thus, the problem that the virtual reality realistic sense and immersion sense are poor due to the fact that the planar image is used as the source image currently can be solved.
