The invention provides a method and device for judging cross-
area coverage of communication cells, relates to the technical field of networks, and solves the problems that a lot of human and
material resources can be consumed and execution is relatively difficult when the cross-
area coverage problem of the communication cells is judged through artificial road testing in the prior art. The method comprises the following steps of: obtaining Counter data of the switching successful time of cells, which is recorded by a
system within a pre-set time period in a pre-set area, and
network engineering parameters; selecting a
cell A to be analyzed from the
system, and taking the A as data of a target
cell according to the Counter data, so that a first source
cell list is generated; comparing the distance between each communication cell and the A in the first source cell
list with 2*L(A) to find out a communication cell having abnormal switching with the A; and, collecting all communication cells having abnormal switching to generate a
second source cell
list, and judging that the coverage range of the A is normal when the number N of the communication cells in the
second source cell list is less than or equal to 1. The embodiment of the invention is used for judging cross-
area coverage of the communication cells.
