Accommodating diffractive intraocular lens

One disclosed embodiment of a method includes providing an intraocular lens. The intraocular lens includes a diffractive optical surface having diffractive properties which produce an interference pattern. The method further includes implanting the lens in an eye of a patient such that the diffractive optical surface changes shape in response to action of an ocular structure of the eye. The interference pattern is modified in response to the action of the ocular structure. One disclosed embodiment of an intraocular implant includes a lens body. The lens body comprises a diffractive optical surface having diffractive properties which produce an interference pattern. The lens body is sized and shaped for placement in an anterior portion of a human eye. The lens body is sufficiently flexible to change the shape of the diffractive optical surface in response to ciliary muscle action so that the interference pattern is modified.

Antireflective article, image display device, production mold for antireflective article and production method for antireflective article production mold

In order to improve the scratch resistance of an antireflective article having a moth-eye structure, an antireflective article is provided that has fine protrusions densely arranged therein, and has the interval between adjacent fine protrusions being no more than the shortest wavelength in the wavelength band for antireflection. At least some of the fine protrusions are fine protrusions having a plurality of apexes.

Medical devices, systems, and methods for performing eye exams using displays comprising MEMS scanning mirrors

An instrument for imaging the eye and performing ophthalmic diagnostic tests is disclosed that obtain images of the structures of the eye using imaging technology such as optical coherence tomography (OCT). To assist with such imaging and / or provide additional diagnostics, the ophthalmic diagnostic instrument may additionally include a display for presenting images to the subject whose eyes and vision are being evaluated. This display system may comprise a MEMS (microelectromechanical system) scanning mirror.

Method for positioning iris and pupil based on eye structure classification

The invention discloses a method for positioning an iris and a pupil based on eye structure classification. By the method, a face is detected in an image acquired by a system, and an eye image is extracted. Under a remote non-intrusive condition, the acquired eye image can be changed within an extremely large range, for example, the radius of the iris can be changed within dozens to hundreds of pixels. According to the method, before an iris boundary and a pupil boundary are precisely positioned, the eye image is automatically subjected to structural classification by an unsupervised learning technology; due to the classification, the iris and the pupil can be roughly positioned; the size of an iris region can be effectively estimated; stray data of a non iris boundary and a non pupil boundary are greatly eliminated; and a search space aiming at positions and sizes of the iris and the pupil is reduced. In the reduced search space, constrained optimization is performed according to fixed features of the iris and the pupil; and the optimal iris boundary and the optimal pupil boundary are searched. By the method, the stability and the precision of positioning of the iris and the pupil can be greatly improved; and the method is particularly suitable for a remote non-intrusive iris obtaining system.

A full-eye optical coherence tomography imager comprises a frequency sweeping light source, an optical fiber polarizer, a first optical circulator, a second optical circulator, a first broadband polarization splitting prism, a second broadband polarization splitting prism, an ocular anterior segment scanning imaging light path, an eye ground scanning imaging light path, a third broadband polarization splitting prism, two reference mirrors, a fourth broadband polarization splitting prism, a fifth broadband polarization splitting prism, a second polarized light protecting coupler, a third polarized light protecting coupler, a first balance detector, a second balance detector, a function generation card, a data acquisition card, a computer and the like, wherein the first broadband polarization splitting prism, the second broadband polarization splitting prism, the ocular anterior segment scanning imaging light path and the eye ground scanning imaging light path are arranged in a sample arm; the third broadband polarization splitting prism and the two reference mirrors are arranged in a reference arm; the fourth broadband polarization splitting prism, the fifth broadband polarization splitting prism, the second polarized light protecting coupler, the third polarized light protecting coupler, the first balance detector and the second balance detector are arranged at a detecting end. The imager is based on a frequency sweeping optical coherence tomography technology, a component p and a component s of a polarized beam are used for conducting imaging on an eye ground and an ocular anterior segment respectively, and thus three-dimensional high resolution real-time imaging can be conducted on an full eye structure at the same time on the same system without any device for conversion. By means of the full-eye optical coherence tomography imager, optical path length and dispersion matching and scan setting can respectively be carried out on ocular anterior segment imaging and eye ground imaging, and thus the optimal imaging quality and the view field size of ocular anterior segment imaging and eye ground imaging can be obtained at the same time.

Non-periodic surface plasma grating type terahertz filter

The invention provides a non-periodic surface plasma grating type terahertz filter which comprises a two-dimensional metal grating flat plate with a central circular through hole. The upper surface and the lower surface of the metal grating flat plate are symmetrically provided with non-periodic annular grooves, and the widths of the annular grooves are different. According to the non-periodic surface plasma grating type terahertz filter of a bull eye structure, a non-periodic structure is adopted to remove contradictions between transmission bands and sidelobes of a general periodic filter, and the sidelobe suppression ratio is improved. Compared with a traditional filter, the non-periodic surface plasma grating type terahertz filter has the advantages of being high in center frequency transmission rate, few in loss, high in selectivity, easy to adjust, convenient to manufacture and process, low in cost and the like.
