An improved artificial eye for use in dolls, stuffed animals, other toys, and the like, and for use as a prosthetic eye for human beings. The improved artificial eye consists of a sclera, a lens, and a lamina. The lens can be made of any of a variety of materials such as natural or synthetic gemstones or gemstone simulations. The lens can be used to magnify the iris and pupil images. The lamina provides images of the iris and pupil. The lamina can be a thin layer imprinted with the image of the iris and pupil and is attached to the lens such as by lamination or adhesive. Alternatively, the lamina can comprise colored glass or ceramic and is sintered onto the lens. In a second configuration, the eye additionally comprises an insert layer, which can be glass, between the lens and the lamina.

Simple method used for making minitype fish shape specimen

The invention relates to a simple method used for making a minitype fish shape specimen. The method comprises the following steps of: (1) selecting minitype fish as a fish to be made into specimen; (2) soaking the fish to be made into specimen in an infusing solution to peel fish skin, removing branchias, linguae, eyes and brain of the head of the fish, soaking through the infusing solution, cleaning through using clear water to obtain the peeled fish skin; (3) making and placement of a supporting platform: manufacturing the supporting platform according to the conventional method, and placing the supporting platform into the peeled fish skin; (4) stitching; (5) preparing a filling material; (6) filling: fixing the fish skin after stitching, and filling the filling material; (7) reshaping and installing artificial eyes: installing the artificial eyes according to the conventional method, and reshaping according to need; (8) drying and painting: drying the specimen after reshaping, cleaning the surface according to the conventional method, painting according to the self colour of a fish body, and painting a layer of varnish after painting so as to obtain the fish shape specimen; and (9) habitat manufacture and fixation. The simple method provided by the invention has the advantages that the manufacture method is simple, and the shape of the specimen after filling is vivid and real.

Porous biological artificial eye seat

The invention relates to a porous biological artificial eye seat and a preparation method thereof. The artificial eye seat is prepared from bioceramic and is a spherical body with a diameter of 10-30mm; a spherical crown at one side of the artificial eye seat is a compact thin shell with a thickness of 0.2-3mm; and the inner part of the artificial eye seat and other surfaces of the artificial eyeseat are provided with macroscopic pores with a thickness of 0.1-1mm and more preferably 0.3-1mm which are uniformly distributed, wherein the surfaces and the inner macroscopic pores communicate witheach other. The artificial eye seat also comprises secondary pores and final pores which are uniformly distributed, wherein the size of the secondary pores is 1-100 microns, the size of the final pores is less than 1 micron, and porosity of the artificial eye seat is 60-95%. The porous artificial eye seat is formed by 3D printing, the size of the pores is larger than the size of pores generated byadopting a pore-forming agent, the shape and the size can be freely designed, and the penetration of new blood vessels and tissues into the porous artificial eye seat is facilitated. The secondary and final pores in the eyelid seat provided by the invention are small in size and can be used to deliver desired nutrients and the like to blood vessels and tissues formed in the macropores.
