All-terrain vehicle with driver and passenger seating

InactiveUS20050247506A1Safely spaceAdditional spaceCyclesLuggage carriersDriver/operatorVehicle frame
An all-terrain vehicle (ATV) includes a frame and a pair of front and rear wheels suspended from the frame. A straddle-type seat has a main portion and a secondary portion to accommodate a driver and a passenger. The wheelbase of the ATV is increased in length (compared to conventional ATVs) so as to increase stability and comfort for the driver, and / or to accommodate a passenger behind the driver. The passenger and secondary seat portion are disposed in front of the rear wheel axis and moved closer to the center of the wheelbase. Moreover, the combined center or gravity of the ATV, rider, and passenger is moved closer to the center of the wheelbase to improve stability, comfort and / or safety. The driver and passenger each have sufficient space to actively position themselves without significantly interfering with each other.

Endotracheal tube

An improved endotracheal tube is provided which is adapted to optimally and safely accommodate the nasopharyngeal airway during nasopharyngeal intubation. The endotracheal tube includes a body having a nasopharyngeal section adapted to sealably enclose and contain a spirally-wound coil longitudinally therealong. The nasopharyngeal section integrally transposes into a rigid section which extends longitudinally from the nasopharyngeal section and terminates at a lower end of endotracheal tube. The nasopharyngeal section with incorporated spirally-wound coil allows for multiple positioning of nasopharyngeal section about a face of a patient, thereby minimizing pressure sores, abrasions, and ulcerations, and further allows for quick, easy, and efficient surgical access to the nasopharyngeal airway without requiring removal of the endotracheal tube.

Security condition notification system

A security condition notification system (1, 1′, 1″) providing improved communication, in particular for emergency situations. The system (1, 1′, 1″) comprises a condition transmitter device (2, 2′, 2″, 2′″) and a condition indicator device (5, 5′). The condition transmitter device (2, 2′, 2″, 2′″) comprises at least a user interface (3, 3′), configured to enable a user to activate one of at least a first and a second security condition. The condition transmitter device (2, 2′, 2″, 2′″) further comprises a transmitter communication interface (4, 4′) connected with said user interface (3, 3′) and configured for transmitting a security notification signal corresponding to the activated security condition to said condition indicator device (5, 5′). The condition indicator device (5, 5′) is configured to receive said security notification signal and comprises at least an indicator module (7,7′), configured to display the security condition of said condition transmitter device (2, 2′, 2″, 2′″), activated by the user.

Hermetically sealed container for large-sized precision sheet (semi-) product

A relatively light and generally resinous hermetically sealed container is provided for accommodating, supporting and transporting a precision sheet (semi-)product, such as a photomask, safely and in an airtight manner without exerting an inappropriate stress thereto, which precision sheet (semi-)product has such a large planar size that encounters an extreme difficulty in integral resin molding of a half of a container therefor. The container includes a main body and a lid member which are generally symmetrical with each other and respectively have sealing peripheries to be abutted to each other. Each of the main body and the lid member includes a plurality of resin-sheets which are disposed in a plane, abutted to each other at an intermediate joint boundary therebetween and joined with each other at the joint boundary. A reinforcing metal belt member is disposed from outside along the joint boundary and hermetically bolted to the resin sheets.
