The invention discloses a
continuous cropping cultivation method for Hami melons. Pumpkin or
gourd seedlings are taken as stock seedlings and
Hami melon seedlings are taken as scions to be grafted byadopting a
cut-in method. The
continuous cropping cultivation method for the Hami melons comprises the following specific steps: (1) culturing pumpkin or
gourd seeds in a
nutrition pot 6-8 days in advance, and then
sowing Hami melon seeds, wherein the
grafting proper period is the time when leaves of the
Hami melon seedlings are unfolded and rough leaves of the stock seedlings appear; (2) selecting a stock
seedling with a proper size in the
morning or afternoon with clear weather and strong
sunlight,
cutting off a
growth point by using a blade, inserting a hole with the depth of 1
centimeter in the top of the stock
seedling by using a bamboo stick, then taking the Hami melon
seedling, and beveling the Hami melon seedling by using the blade at the position which is 1.5 cm below
cotyledon, wherein the length of the beveled portion of the Hami melon seedling is approximately the same as the depth of the hole; and then inserting the beveled portion into the hole of the stock seedling to finish
grafting. The problems that a large area of plants are dead due to
fusarium wilt easily caused by
continuous cropping through a traditional Hami melon cultivation method, and meanwhile, lots of diseases and pests exist are solved, and the continuous
cropping cultivation method for the Hami melons has the advantages that the
fusarium wilt of the Hami melon seedling can be prevented effectively,
stress resistance is enhanced, growth is promoted and the yield of Hami melons is increased.
