The present invention relates generally to the field of treatments for nasal congestion, and in particular, to a method and apparatus for alleviating nasal congestion in a patient by mechanically stimulating the sneezing reflex in the patient to urge drainage of the nasal passageways. The method includes inserting an instrument having a work tip portion provided with at least one filament into the nostril of the patient. The nasal mucosa of the patient is then probed with the at least one filament to stimulate in the patient the sneeze reflex. This probing action causes the patient to sneeze. With the patient's mouth closed, the sneeze urges at least one of mucus, fluid and debris in the nasal passages of the patient to be forcibly expelled through the nostrils of the patient thereby draining the nasal cavity of the patient. The instrument used in the performance of this method includes a handle portion upon which the work tip portion is carried. The handle portion may be integrally formed with the work tip portion or releasably attachable thereto. The instrument is further provided with a physical stop associated with one of the work tip portion and the handle portion to prevent injury resulting from the working tip portion being inserted too deeply into the nasal passages of the patient.

The end cap comprises first and second elements integrally formed together such that attempted separation of the two elements distorts at least one of the elements. The second element can be integrally formed within the first element and the first element can include a securing member fixing the end cap to the barrel.

A connector including an inner housing member for housing terminal fittings and an outer member for receiving the inner housing member. The inner housing member comprises upper and lower inner members. After terminal fittings have been attached to the upper and lower inner members, these inner members are joined to one another to form the inner housing member. An angular-tubular shaped housing chamber is provided at the posterior of an outer member for housing the inner housing member. The inner housing member is pushed into the housing chamber of the outer member to complete the assembly of the connector. A dual axes swivel connector for connecting various panels to assemble a pet enclosure is disclosed. The dual axes swivel connector allows panels of the enclosure to be reliably pivoted with respect to each other. Additionally, the dual axes swivel connector allows the various panels of the enclosure to be offset with respect to each other when the enclosure is traversed to the collapsed position. The offset permits and enables the stacking of the various panels on top of each other. The dual axes swivel connector may be fabricated from a plastic material whereas the panels of the enclosure may be fabricated from a metallic material to reduce vibration noise.

An improved system for capacitive testing electrical connections in a low signal environment. The system includes features that increase sensitivity of a capacitive probe. One feature is a spacer positioned to allow the probe to be partially inserted into the component without contacting the pins. The spacer may be a collar on the probe that contacts the housing of the component, contacts the substrate of the circuit assembly, or both. In some other embodiments, the spacer may be a riser extending beyond the surface of the sense plate that contacts the component, a riser portion of the component, or a combination of both. The spacer improves sensitivity by establishing a small gap between a sense plate of the probe and pins under test without risk of damage to the pins. A second feature is a guard plate of the probe with reduced capacitance to a sense plate of the probe. Reducing capacitance also increases the sensitivity of the probe.

A connector (C) includes a housing (60), a terminal fitting (10) and a retainer (80). The housing (60) includes a cavity (64) extending in a front-rear direction and a retainer insertion hole (72) intersecting and communicating with the cavity and open in an outer surface. A torque-limited fastener is for an electrical connector including an electrically conductive body having at least one fastener-receiving passageway intersecting a cable-receiving passageway. The torque-limited fastener may include a body being externally threaded to be received within the fastener-receiving passageway and having a tool-receiving passageway therein. A break-away head may be initially coupled to the body for breaking away therefrom at a torque limit upon tightening of the fastener. The break-away head may have a tool-receiving passageway therethrough aligned with the tool-receiving passageway of the body and accommodating a commonly-sized tool therein. A cigarette lighter with improved safety property includes a combustion chamber formed as a receptacle in which a cigarette to be lit is inserted. The receptacle is formed of three concentric vented tubes. The combustion chamber is shaped and dimensioned in a manner to completely envelop the flame produced in the combustion chamber, and to prevent any objects with dimensions larger than diameter of a cigarette to be received in the combustion chamber. A flame stabilizer is secured in the inner tube of the receptacle unit at a predetermined distance from the burner in order to limit the insertion of the cigarette and to prevent the unwanted extinction of the flame if the cigarette is inserted too close to the source of the flame.

A lever connector that exhibits excellent space efficiency is provided. The lever connector includes female and male housings that are engageable with each other. A lever is mounted displaceably on the male housing and can be moved between an initial position and a fitting position. A cam groove is formed on the lever, and a cam follower is formed on the female housing. An entrance of the cam groove is aligned in a direction that intersects the fitting direction of the housings when the lever is at the initial position, and the female housing is assembled into a hood along the same direction.
