The invention discloses a combined container type gas flow detection device by the pVTt method. The gas flow detection device comprises two or more standard containers, a buffer container I, an intelligent collecting system and a control system. Each standard container is provided with an inlet end valve, a valve for combination and selection and an outlet end valve. Inlets of the outlet end valves serve as installation ports of detected flow meters. All the valves for combination and selection are mutually communicated. The outlet end valves are communicated with the buffer container I. The intelligent collecting system collects pressure p, temperature T and inflating time t in the standard containers before inflating and after inflating and pressure p, temperature T and inflating time t at installation ports of the detected flow meters. The control system is used for controlling all the valves to be opened or closed. According to the combined container type gas flow detection device by the pVTt method, the standard containers are adopted to be independently or randomly combined into different standard containers, and a working gas source and a pressure, temperature and time collecting system are shared. The range of detection flow is enlarged by more than 2n-1 times compared with a single container in the prior art, wherein n is the number of the containers. Measurement error correction method based on temperature-dependent displacement in measurement device and mass spectrometer using the same method

A columnar rod reference member made of a material whose coefficient of thermal expansion is different from a flight tube is placed in contact with the tube. One end of the tube and o the reference member are fixed to each other with a fixture part. A distance measurement sensor measures the difference in length between the tube and the reference member whose lengths fluctuate due to a change in temperature. A displacement of the difference in length, as expressed by a proportion, is larger than that of the length of the flight tube. The difference in length is far smaller than the length of the flight tube. This improves detection of the displacement due to thermal expansion with a strain gauge or sensor. The m / z values in mass spectrum data are corrected based on the measured values of the displacement, whereby a highly accurate mass discrepancy correction is achieved.

To widen the dynamic range of a dielectric barrier ionization detector (BID), an insertion length of a sample injection tube 16 into a second gas passage 11 is set so that a sample-gas ejection port 16a is located on the downstream side of a dilution gas from the upper edge of a collector electrode 14 at which a DC electric field concentrates. By this setting, although the detection sensitivity is lower than in the case where the sample-gas ejection port 16a is placed to maximize the detection sensitivity, the decrease in the detection sensitivity to high-concentration samples is reduced since absorption of light by the sample gas is alleviated. Consequently, the sample-concentration range with a linearly-changing sensitivity becomes wider than that of conventional BIDs. Although the detection sensitivity becomes lower than that of conventional BIDs, a detection sensitivity adequately higher than that of FIDs can be ensured.
