A stiffening member, as well as a diaphragm of a building in which the stiffening member is used, is disclosed. The diaphragm includes a horizontal wide-flange beam, a corrugated deck, and a corrugated stiffening member. The stiffening member is an elongate, corrugated strip. Dynamic and asymmetric sub-channel allocation in a wireless communications system—particularly an orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) system—is disclosed. The methods and constructs of the present disclosure identify a plurality of cells, each divided into an equal number of sectors. A transmission channel associated with each cell is divided into a plurality of sub-channel groups. For each sector, a set of adjoining inter and intra coverage area sectors is identified, and associated together as a pool set. For each such pool set, a resource pool is formed from the plurality of sub-channel groups. A single sub-channel group from a resource pool is allocated to each sector in a corresponding pool set. Additional sub-channel group in that resource pool are thereafter allocated to sectors from the pool set on an as-needed, as-available basis.

A filter element (12), particularly for the intake air of an internal combustion engine. The filter element (12) has a filter body (13) and a seal (15) disposed circumferentially around the filter body (13). An introducer and system and method for using the introducer in endoscopic combined laser assisted DCR for treatment of nasolachrymal drainage obstruction (NLDO) is disclosed. An introducer comprising a hollow outer tube and an atraumatic inner mandril is inserted into the lachrymal sac section. The atraumatic inner mandril is removed and (one or more) optical fibers or fiber bundles are inserted for illumination to determine proper position and for ablating a drainage channel. The fiber or bundle is then removed and a DCR intubation set can then be introduced to maintain the drainage channel. One advantage of this device and method is that all aspects of the procedure can be performed through the introducer, thus only requiring a single insertion point, reducing trauma to the lachrymal duct, and reducing the complexity and risk of complication or infection.
