Fan cartridge assembly

A fan cartridge assembly includes a cartridge, a first fan and a second fan. The cartridge has a first round hole and a second round hole for receiving the first fan and the second fan. The cartridge has an air duct, one end of which is connected to the first round hole. A back plate is mounted to one end of the cartridge and has air vents connected to the other end of the air duct for exhausting air. When assembled in a computer case, the second fan drafts air blowing to interface cards and power chips in the computer to cool them down and the first fan expels the heated air from the inside of the computer case to the outside. This allows the operation of the computer to keep in a normal working status.

Method of recycling fracturing fluids using a self-degrading foaming composition

A method of fracturing a subterranean zone penetrated by a well bore by preparing a foamed fracturing fluid containing a self-degrading foaming composition comprised of a mixture of anionic surfactant and nonionic surfactant. The fracturing fluid containing a self-degrading foaming composition forms a substantially less stable foam when the foamed fracturing fluid is recovered during reclaim.

Composite Structures with Porous Anodic Oxide Layers and Methods of Fabrication

Composite structures are described that have a porous anodic oxide layer such as, for example, a porous anodic aluminum oxide layer. In one aspect, the present invention includes a composite gas separation module having a porous metal substrate; a porous anodic aluminum oxide layer, wherein the porous anodic aluminum oxide layer overlies the porous metal substrate; and a dense gas-selective membrane, wherein the dense gas-selective membrane overlies the porous anodic aluminum oxide layer. A composite filter is described having a porous non-aluminum metal substrate; and a porous anodic aluminum oxide layer, wherein the porous anodic aluminum oxide layer defines pores extending through the porous anodic aluminum oxide layer. Methods for fabricating composite gas separation modules and composite filters and methods for selectively separating hydrogen gas from a hydrogen gas-containing gaseous stream are also described.

Detection of Graphics Added to a Video Signal

The invention allows detecting which graphics, if any, have been added to the video signal at any given time by utilizing only the various signals provided by prior art hardware. A first video signal, graphics signal(s), and a second video signal are received. It is then determined which graphics, if any, are present in a given frame of the received second video signal based on comparing actual values of pixels of the received second video signal and calculated values of pixels derived from the first video signal, and the graphics signal(s), and the combination of graphics signal(s) which produces the best match is searched for.

Heating assembly for a thermostatic valve and corresponding production method, and a thermostatic valve comprising such an assembly

This heating assembly comprises a thermally conductive tube (42), to be immersed in a thermally expandable material of a thermostatic element of a valve, an electric heating resistor disposed inside the tube and from which there extend electrically conductive wires (62), and a unitary housing (1) made from plastic, through which the fluid to be regulated flows via the valve, and which is secured by over-molding of a longitudinal end portion (44) of the tube. In order to make the molding of the over-molded housing simple and inexpensive to carry out, while being easy to adapt to various geometric forms of the heating assembly, the invention proposes that, before the housing is molded, a reinforcement (7) for supporting the wires outside the tube, which is separate from the housing, and to which the housing is secured by over-molding, can be securely mounted on the end portion of the tube and supports the wires outside the tube, said wires being externally mounted on the reinforcement, and, when the housing is being molded, keeps the wires in place while the plastic material of the housing coats these wires, the reinforcement and the end portion of the tube.
