The present invention is a compound motorized lift device facilitating the uninterrupted and nearly noiseless movement of a low-profile television. The invention is comprised of a base unit, an intermediate unit, and a support unit slidably disposed in a telescoping fashion in the described order. A pair of linearly extensible slides are fastened between base and intermediate units and between intermediate and support units. The intermediate unit is extended and retracted with respect to the base unit in a linear fashion via a motor driven screw. The support unit is extended and retracted in a linear fashion via a cable-pulley arrangement that couples motion by the intermediate unit in a likewise direction to the support unit.

A storable, reusable-insulating sleeve for a beverage container that provides insulation to the user from hot or cold beverages. The improved sleeve maintains insulation of hot temperatures approximately five and ten degrees higher for a thirty-minute interval, than, for example, cardboard counterpart sleeves. The improved sleeve comprises an integral storage-securing mechanism for storing the sleeve in a compact form. The compact form can easily fit into a pocket, purse, car glove compartment or desk drawer. The sleeve is made of various fabrics and is therefore reusable. There is provided herein a method of defining and storing remixing of existing musical and video works. A method and system for human computer interaction using hand gestures is presented. The system permits a person to precisely control a computer system without wearing an instrumented glove or any other tracking device. In one embodiment, two cameras observe and record images of a user's hands. The hand images are processed by querying a database relating hand image features to the 3D configuration of the hands and fingers (i.e. the 3D hand poses). The 3D hand poses are interpreted as gestures. Each gesture can be interpreted as a command by the computer system. Uses for such a system include, but are not limited to, computer aided design for architecture, mechanical engineering and scientific visualization. Computer-generated 3D virtual objects can be efficiently explored, modeled and assembled using direct 3D manipulation by the user's hands.

An integrated infusion management system provides for stable support of components attached to the system, even when the system is mobile. The system is optionally a mobility assist or walker for a patient who is attached to any number of medical components. A central trunk connects to a two-sided base that does not interfere with patient motion. The trunk may be angled with respect to vertical and oriented to support medical components in a configuration that is tip-resistant. The pet transporter comprises a carrier member, a frame adapted to receive the carrier member, a pair of side bows attached to the side walls of the carrier and to the frame, a pair of wheel assemblies attached to the frame on opposite sides of the carrier, and an attachment arm with a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is adapted to be attached to the frame proximate the front wall of the carrier and the second end is adapted to releasably attach to a rear axle of a wheeled vehicle.
