The invention discloses a complex cover material for a refuse landfill. The complex cover material is composed of charcoal, mineralization garbage and incineration ash which are uniformly mixed, the mass ratio of the charcoal to the mineralization garbage to the incineration ash is (3-4) to (3-5) to (1-4), the filling density of the complex cover material is 0.6-1.1 g/cm<3>, the particle size range of the cover material is 5-20 mm, and the specific surface area of the material is 150-280 m<2>/g. The complex cover material provided by the invention utilizes the carrier action of the charcoal, the inoculation action of deodorization microorganisms of the mineralization garbage and the partial hydration gelatification of the incineration ash, so that the stench release amount of garbage and the discharge of greenhouse gases are greatly reduced, and vegetations are supplied with good nutrition; the complex cover material has the advantages of low cost, simple preparation and easy disposition; meanwhile, the mineralization garbage and sludge in a landfill are fully utilized, the utilization of local materials is realized, the effects of recycling garbage, treating waste with waste, reducing the garbage volume occupancy of the landfill and improving environmental protection are achieved, and social benefits and economic benefits are greatly improved; the complex cover material provided by the invention is suitable for the landfill covering treatment of garbage.

Organic slurry storage basin cover

A cover assembly for an organic waste lagoon basin and a method of making and deploying such a cover assembly. A cover includes connected cover panels or sections. In one form of the invention the panels are comprised of a single layer of geotextile fabric. In another form of the invention the panels are comprised of interconnected strata including a sacrificial layer which faces the sun and protects the cover from ultraviolet light degradation; a foam layer that floats the cover; and a geotextile fabric layer. The geotextile fabric is porous and suppresses the release of malodorous gases from the lagoon basin. The cover can be constructed and deployed by laying out cover panels in fanfold fashion along a side of the basin; connecting adjacent edges of the panels; attaching flotation to the free edge of the top panel; and using deployment lines and a mandrel to move the cover across the filled basin.

A landfill method for strengthening ventilation and reducing the drainage of methane by taking advantage of wind power relates to a quasi-aerobic garbage landfill process. The landfill method is characterized in that a wind housing (1) is mounted at the tail end of a percolating liquid collecting main pipe (4), wherein, the ratio of an inlet diameter and an outlet diameter equal of the wind housing (1) ranges from to 8:1 to 4:1; a wind cap (2) is mounted at the top end of a vertical air duct (3) and rotates under double drive of external natural wind and difference between internal temperature and external temperature of a landfill body, so as to generate negative pressure and centrifugal force, continuously draw out landfill air in the air duct (3), drive the wind cap (2) at the tail end of the percolating liquid collecting main pipe (4) to continuously suck outside air into a garbage body, thereby forming a sustaining and efficient ventilating system, promoting aerobic decomposition and stability of garbage, and greatly reducing methane discharge. The method consumes no power, thereby greatly reducing the discharge of the quasi-aerobic garbage landfill methane and achieving the energy conservation and the drainage reduction. The invention has the advantages of simple process, convenient disassembly and assembly, low cost, and can be widely applied to domestic garbage landfill yards.

By placing this shielding material on a radiation-contaminated earth surface, or by reversing the position of the soil of earth surface of higher radiation dose and the position of the soil beneath the earth surface, of lower radiation dose, in such a way that the above-mentioned shielding material is placed between the new upper-position soil of lower radiation dose and the new lower-position soil of higher radiation dose, the dose of radiation emitted from the earth surface can be reduced.
