Vehicle Stability Control System and Method

A vehicle stability control system comprises a 5-sensor cluster and a stability controller configured to communicate with the 5-sensor cluster and receive signals corresponding to a lateral acceleration, a longitudinal acceleration, a yaw rate, a roll rate, and a pitch rate from the 5-sensor cluster. The stability controller can also be configured to determine a braking amount or a throttle amount to maintain vehicle stability. The system also comprises a brake controller configured to communicate with the stability controller and receive a braking request from the stability controller, and a throttle controller configured to communicate with the stability controller and receive a throttle request from the stability controller. The invention provides a variable-speed variable-pitch wind turbine generator unit gust control method. The method comprises the following steps of (A) detecting whether the rotation speed omega of a wind turbine generator unit is greater than a rated rotation speed omega <rate> of the wind turbine generator unit or not; (B) calculating whether the acceleration speed delta omega / delta t of the wind turbine generator unit is greater than an acceleration speed set threshold value or not; (C) directly setting the variable-pitch angle to be 90 degrees if the wind turbine generator unit meets both the conditions A and B, conducting open-loop control and increasing the variable-pitch rate to the set threshold value; (D) controlling the torque output to be an original torque value during variable-pitch open-loop control; and (E) after the feathering set time T, switching variable-pitch control to conventional closed-loop control if the wind turbine generator unit does not meet the conditions A and B, and continuing feathering of a variable-pitch system if the wind turbine generator unit meets both the conditions A and B. The variable-speed variable-pitch wind turbine generator unit gust control method provided by the invention is good in stability and high safety performance.
