Image presentation and micro-optic security system

A synthetic micro-optic system and security device is disclosed including an in-plane image formed of an array or pattern of image icons and an array of focusing elements, the system producing at least two different synthetic images whereby one synthetic image operates to modulate or control the extent of the appearance of another synthetic image. In an exemplary form, the array of image icons forms an in-plane synthetic image, while the interaction of the array of focusing elements with the array of image icons forms a separate synthetically magnified image that serves to control the field of view of the in-plane image and, thus, serves to modulate or control the extent of appearance of the in-plane image. The appearance of the in-plane image, thus, visually appears and disappears, or turn on and off, depending upon the viewing angle of the system.

Method for image animation using image value rules

A method for image presentation are provided, in which at least one theme for image presentation is obtained; at least one set of images is acquired for presentation in association with each theme; and a presentation area image is generated for presentation on a display with a plurality of separate presentation objects in the presentation area image; an image value for each of the acquired images is determined; an emphasis score is determined for each of the acquired images. The presentation area image is presented with one of the acquired images in each of the presentation objects; and the presentation objects are animated by moving the presentation objects relative to each other in a manner that attracts more attention to presentation objects that are used to present images having a higher emphasis score than presentation objects that are used to simultaneously present images having a lower emphasis score.

Image presentation and micro-optic security system

Am image presentation system employing microstructured icon elements to form an image. In one form a synthetic optical image system is provided that includes an array of focusing elements, and an image system that includes or is formed from an array or pattern of microstructured icon elements, such as those described below, wherein the microstructured icon elements are designed to collectively form an image or certain desired information, and wherein the array of focusing elements and the image system cooperate, for example through optical coupling, to form a synthetic optical image which image may optionally be magnified. In another form an image presentation system is provided that includes or is formed from an array or pattern of microstructured icon elements, such as those described below, wherein the microstructured icon elements are designed to collectively form an image or certain selected information, and wherein the image system is designed to stand alone and be the image viewed or the information read by use of a magnifying device, such as a magnifying glass or microscope, that is provided separately from the image system.

Enhanced-image presentation system, device, and method

A present novel and non-trivial system, device, and method for enhancing an image presented to the pilot on an aircraft display unit. Locations of visible and invisible objects related to aviation such as airports, navigation aids and facilities, and airspace are enhanced by providing highlighter bands with location highlighters. Navigation data representative of aircraft navigation information is received, and location data representative of the location of at least one object located outside the aircraft is retrieved based upon the navigation data. An image generating processor generates an image data set as a function of highlighter data associated with the location data, where the image data set is representative of a two-dimensional or three-dimensional image in which each object is enhanced with location highlighter and / or highlighter band of. The image data set may be provided to a tactical display unit, a strategic display unit, or both for display.

Foreground segmentation method applied to mobile communication network transmission

The invention provides a foreground segmentation method applied to mobile communication network transmission and belongs to the field of image processing and communication network transmission. Five background templates with the shooting time intervals to be consistent with image acquisition intervals in the case of operation are pre-stored, and the former four background templates are used for fine detection in the case when a target is detected coarsely. The difference region area between the monitored image and the background image is calculated to judge whether a target enters, the image does not need to be transmitted when the target does not exist, the target region is segmented when the target exists, and the target region is only transmitted. The received target region is fused in the pre-stored background image by a server for video playing or image presentation. In a shooting mode, in order to prevent a passerby from being judged to be an obstacle, the target is set to be transmitted to the server only when the target is extracted by a third party according to the scene length, the human walking speed and the monitoring shooting frequency. Background replacement can be timely carried out after each time of segmentation cycle acquisition is finished, and interference caused by light and other environmental changes can be overcome in a slow transition way.
