Nonwoven material for acoustic insulation, and process for manufacture

An improved acoustically and thermally insulating composite material suitable for use in structures such as buildings, appliances, and the interior passenger compartments and exterior components of automotive vehicles, comprising at least one airlaid fibrous layer of controlled density and composition and incorporating suitable binding agents and additives as needed to meet expectations for noise abatement, fire, and mildew resistance. Separately, an airlaid structure which provides a reduced, controlled airflow therethrough useful for acoustic insulation is provided, and which includes a woven or nonwoven scrim.

Acoustical composite steel member

InactiveUS6494012B2Excellent acoustical and sound dampening propertyImprove acoustic propertiesStrutsWallsComposite constructionUltimate tensile strength
This composite building stud combines two metal shapes, inner and outer, with an insulating material to form a composite structural member having excellent acoustical properties. The stud also has an insulating valve (R-value) greater than a similar metal member normally used as a stud in a residential structure. The composite also has a strength comparable to that of a similar steel member normally used as a stud in a residential structure. One shape encompasses the other shape. The composite structural member eliminates any direct metal connections and thus eliminates any thermal shorts that reduce the overall insulating value (R-value) of the composite member.

Board assembly

A floor board assembly convenient to lay is characterized in that, in one embodiment, it comprises a frame, a filler board and an upper material with the frame and filler board affixed to the underside of the upper material. The frame includes latch tongues that extend outwardly from the lower side edges of the frame, and the tongues have locking projections that fit into recesses arranged just inside the periphery of the underside of the frame. The tongues and intervening spaces (with locking bars behind them) are space along the periphery of the board, such that any side of one board may be joined to any side of a similarly configured board. The upper material may be selected from a variety of materials, including LVT (luxury vinyl tile), carpet, high pressure laminate or other decorative material. The filler board may be selected to accomplish reduced cost, and / or improved acoustics. In other embodiments, a frame and / or upper material may be absent. The floor board assembly requires a lower manufacture cost and lower equipment investment, has stable quality, versatility and ease of installation.

Magnesium alloy integrally cast sound box and manufacturing method thereof

The invention relates to a magnesium alloy integrally cast sound box which comprises a sound box body (1), wherein, a high-frequency loudspeaker (10), a medium / low-frequency loudspeaker (11) and an electronic frequency divider (7) are installed in the sound box body (1), the sound box body (1) is connected with a wiring post (8) through a wire, and a sound absorption layer (9) is arranged on the inner wall of the sound box body (1). The sound box body (1) is a magnesium alloy integrally cast structure, and a high-frequency loudspeaker hole (3) is arranged at the upper part of the sound box body (1); a medium / low-frequency loudspeaker hole is arranged at the middle part of the sound box body (1); and a sound-wave reversed phase hole (5) is arranged at the lower part of the sound box body (1). The manufacturing method comprises the following steps: the magnesium alloy is melted in a smelting furnace in the air or under the protective atmosphere, and the casting core can adopt a wooden core, metal core, and the like, by various molding and casting processes such as sand casting, metal mold casting, and the like; the magnesium alloy adopted in the method comprises the following component of Mg-X alloy, wherein, X can be an element such as Ni, Zr, Al, Cu, and the like, and one or more of the elements can be adopted to be combined with Mg to form binary, ternary or polynary magnesium alloy; and the sound box is characterized in that the seamless sound box body can be conveniently in any shape and complex structure. The invention has the advantages of simple structural process, low manufacturing cost and good tone color.
