The invention provides an electric control system and method for monitoring the label suction conditions on a machine head of a labeling machine. The electric control system comprises an electric control module of the labeling machine, a labeling arm and a labeling head, wherein the labeling arm can move up and down, and the labeling head is installed at the lower end of the labeling arm. The labeling head comprises a suction disc, wherein a vacuum cavity is formed in the suction disc, and a plurality of air suction holes which are communicated with the vacuum cavity are formed in the suction surface at the lower end of the suction disc. The electric control system further comprises a negative pressure sensor, wherein the negative pressure sensor is used for detecting the value of the negative pressure of the vacuum cavity, and connected with the electric control module. The electric control system and method can monitor the real-time suction conditions of label paper on the labeling head of the labeling machine in real time, make corresponding judgments, automatically deal with some basic faults, and avoid the phenomena that in the prior art, due to the fact that a machine misses attaching labels on cut pieces to the cut pieces, workers cannot identify the cut pieces in the next sewing working procedure, and the workers manually attach the labels to the cut pieces in a supplementary mode, and therefore the labeling quality is guaranteed, the production efficiency is improved, the labor cost is reduced, and the electric control system and method are stable and reliable in operation and high in monitoring accuracy.
