Interior rearview mirror system including a pendent accessory

An interior rearview mirror system suitable for use in the interior cabin of a vehicle is provided that includes an interior rearview mirror assembly having an interior rearview mirror support adapted for attaching to a windshield or header portion of the vehicle. The interior rearview mirror assembly includes an interior rearview mirror casing and an interior rearview mirror reflective element. The interior rearview mirror casing is pivotally adjustable about the interior rearview mirror support whereby adjustment of said mirror casing by a driver of the vehicle adjusts the rearward field of view of the interior rearview mirror reflective element in order for the driver to see rearwardly when driving. A pendent accessory comprising a mirror reflector attaches to the interior rearview mirror casing by a pivot joint comprising a ball and socket mount, and the pendent accessory is adjustable by the driver of the vehicle about the pivot joint in order for the driver, when driving, to view a rear seat passenger via the mirror reflector of the pendent accessory when the interior rearview mirror assembly is attached to the interior portion of the vehicle.

A hospital gown for medical procedures such as inserting catheters, heart monitoring, wound dressing and the like and reducing exposure of the patient's “private areas”. The gown has a large upper opening extending across the front of the gown from about the area of the left clavicle of the patient to about the area of the right clavicle of the patient and an arcuate lower portion extending downwardly to about the descending aorta of the patient; a detachable panel for covering the large upper opening; a narrow opening extending across the front of the gown for uncovering portions of the patient's abdomen; a panel for covering the narrow opening; a storage pocket on a front portion of the large upper opening panel; a pair of divided lower side portions for uncovering portions of the patient's groin; and a plurality of fasteners for joining the panels to peripheries of the openings.

Archiving and retrieval method and apparatus

The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for maintaining an organized and automated archiving and retrieval system including a personal bibliography of original documents or other original real objects as well as an electronic archive containing copies of such original real objects with guaranteed access. Essentially this is done by establishing a machine and / or human readable “unique identifier” (UID) distributed with each original real object, a so-called personal archive allowing a person (or a group of persons) to maintain a personal bibliography, a managed storage containing electronic copies of the distributed original real objects, and means for a controlled, but guaranteed access to the stored electronic copies. The unique identifier UID will be established and controlled, usually by a service provider, and attached to each original (document) when it is distributed, usually by the publisher, so that it can be read by the user, preferably with a simple reader for entering it electronically into his personal archive. The personal archive may be maintained either by the person or by another (or the same) service provider, but is personalized in the sense that the user determines the contents of his / her archive. A controlled access system with access certificates, which may be time-limited, issued to the requesting user guarantees user access to the stored electrinic copies. Access control will again be provided as service, be it by the publisher or any of the service providers mentioned.

Method for measuring shale gas well capacity

The invention relates to a method for measuring shale gas well capacity. According to the method, according to the characteristic that a fracturing transformation area and a non-fracturing transformation area exist in the control area of a shale gas reservoir single well, the affect to the shale gas well capacity from adsorbed gas desorption-diffusion, the fracturing transformation area and the non-fracturing transformation area is taken into comprehensive consideration, a double-area composite shale gas reservoir material balance equation for considering the adsorbed gas is established, and by combining a gas well capacity equation and a fluid channeling equation between the two areas, a fast and accurate shale gas well capacity calculating method is established. In the calculation process through the method, a complex shale gas reservoir geologic model is not needed, and many geology and fracturing dynamic parameters are not needed either. The calculation results are suitable for various types of application such as shale gas well rational producing, technological policy development and scheme optimization development.

Method and system for matching an incident to a route

The present invention provides a method and system for depicting an online map of a route along with any incidents on the route. To create the map, a consumer first provides the origination and destination addresses of the route, then a proposed route is provided for their approval. The consumer may modify the proposed route or accept it. Next, the route is analyzed to determine if any incidents have occurred upon it. This analysis comprises preparing the route by creating regions of interest around segments composing the route, examining if any traffic incidents fall within one or more of the regions of interest, and determining for those incidents if the incident is closer than a threshold value to any segment on the route. The final route along with any incidents on the route is then depicted for the consumer.
