49 results about "Pitch range" patented technology

The pitch range of an instrument is the distance between the lowest and highest tones it can accurately produce. The pitch range of a piano with 88 keys is 7/12 octaves, with middle C vibrating at 256 Hz, the highest note vibrating at 4,186 Hz, and the lowest note A vibrating at 27.5 Hz. Here are some sample pitch ranges of familiar instruments.

Method and system for generating musical variations directed to particular skill levels

Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to an automated method and system component for generating variations of one or more musical selections directed to particular students or to particular skill levels into which students may be classified. The method and system component may be included in a wide variety of different music rendering, music display, and music instruction systems. In one embodiment of the present invention, variations are generated by filtering each layer of a musical selection with respect to a number of common, musical components, with the filtering chosen to reflect a selected or desired skill level. In the embodiment of the present invention, the layers of a musical selection include a melody line, a chord progression, and a bass line, and musical components include key signature, rhythm, pitch range, tempo and meter, and technique. Skill level may be based on a numerically-encoded range of skill levels, or may include a number of fixed skill levels, such as beginning, easy, intermediate, and advanced levels.

Spaceborne whole-airspace anti-collision warning system

The invention discloses a spaceborne whole-airspace anti-collision warning system, which comprises a pair of MIMO radars. The MIMO radars are symmetrically arranged on the to-sky surface and the to-ground surface of a satellite; each MIMO radar generates fan beams covering the 90-DEG pitch range of hemispherical airspace; each MIMO radar is arranged on a rotation mechanism; and the rotation mechanism drives the MIMO radar to rotate in a 360-DEG direction, and the whole hemispherical airspace is covered. On a satellite platform with limited size, power consumption and weight, a one-dimensionalrotation MIMO radar working system is adopted, wide transmitting and narrow receiving of multiple orthogonal beams in a 0 DEG-90 DEG pitch dimension can be realized, and in match with a direction dimension rotation mechanism, whole-airspace quick searching and lasting tracking of a space non-cooperative target can be realized.

Electronic musical instrument, method, and storage medium

An electronic musical instrument includes: a plurality of keys that include at least first keys corresponding to a first pitch range and second keys corresponding to a second pitch range; and at least one processor, configured to perform the following: causing a syllable position in a phrase that is digitally synthesized for output to be not advanced no matter how the second keys in the second pitch range are operated while a key operation in the first pitch range is being continuously maintained; and causing the syllable position to advance every time a key operation in the second pitch rang is performed while none of the first keys in the first pitch range are being operated.

Multi-pitch improved ridge-seal for tiled roofs

A ridge seal molding has a back section for nailing to a ridge beam, and a front section formed at an angle to the back section and having a shape in the direction of the length to substantially continuously contact adjacent tiles along a front edge. In various embodiments there are one or more reinforcing ribs in the general direction of the width of the molding. In some embodiments two or more nail positions are marked in the back section for use with roofs of a specific pitch range, UV resistant material to provide improved durability, a receptacle groove formed along the front edge and opening downward toward the tile, such that a sealing material may be placed in the groove prior to installing the ridge seal molding to a roof ridge, and panels simulating a concrete surface for a mudded-in look. A system is provided as well for dedicating ridge seals to specific pitch ranges.
