48 results about "Percentage difference" patented technology

A percentage difference is a way to express a number as a fraction of a whole. To calculate a percentage difference, divide the absolute difference of the two values by the average value of the same two values and then multiplying the answer by 100 will gives the percentage difference of the relative number...

Method of monitoring a health status of a bearing with a warning device in a percentage mode

A rotational element monitoring process (700) utilizing a machine condition indicating sensor and monitoring device (100) adapted to a rotating machine (410). The process (700) monitors at least one operating characteristic of a rotating element of a rotating machine. The operating characteristics can include velocity (500), acceleration (500), temperature (600), etc. The process (700) establishes a baseline value (524, 624) for each operating characteristic. An alarm threshold (530, 630) is determined by either a predetermined percentage difference (540) or a predetermined quantified delta (640). The device establishes a measurement schedule (740) retaining the device in a sleep mode (740) and pulsing a condition investigation in accordance with a frequency. The frequency increases (742) when approaching or exceeding an alarm condition. The device (100) indicates an alarm condition by illuminating an alarm indicating light (220, 222, 224).

Speed warning method and apparatus for navigation system

A method and apparatus allows the driver to set a threshold speed for generating a warning by slightly modifying the speed limit, such that a warning mechanism can be activated when the vehicle speed exceeds the threshold speed. The method and apparatus achieves a convenient interface for the driver to set the threshold speeds at once according to different speed limits by setting a number such as a percentage in a speed adjustment unit. The number indicates the difference in percentage between the speed limit and the threshold speed. The threshold speed can be either higher or lower than the speed limit based on the driving style and preference of the driver.

Identification method of oligofructose inulin purity

ActiveCN103091409AAccurate identification of true purityComponent separationFructoseHplc method
The invention discloses an identification method of an oligofructose inulin purity. The method comprises the following steps of: carrying out enzymatic hydrolysis on inulin by using inulase, then determining contents of fructose and glucose in a sample before the enzymatic hydrolysis and after the enzymatic hydrolysis of oligofructose inulin by using HPLC(High Performance Liquid Chromatography), respectively calculating content differences of fructose and glucose before the enzymatic hydrolysis and after the enzymatic hydrolysis, and multiplying the sum of the percentage difference before the enzymatic hydrolysis and after the enzymatic hydrolysis of fructose and the percentage difference before the enzymatic hydrolysis and after the enzymatic hydrolysis of glucose by 0.9 to be converted into the purify of inulin. The identification method particularly comprises the following steps of: 1) preparing a fructose and glucose reference solution; 2) setting chromatographic conditions; 3) treating an inulin sample; 4) analyzing and calculating the contents of fructose and glucose by using the HPLC method; and 5) identifying the inulin purity. Through the identification method of the oligofructose inulin purity disclosed by the invention, enzymatic hydrolysis is carried out on inulin by using inulase, then the HPLC is used to analyze changes of fructose and glucose before the enzymatic hydrolysis and after the enzymatic hydrolysis of oligofructose inulin, and finally the inulin purity is accurately identified, thereby judging whether a product is qualified or not. In comparison with the traditional method, the identification method is more scientific and reasonable.

No dealer hand 21

The applicants' provide a process for playing “No Dealer Hand” Blackjack/Twenty-One. As such, the uses of, or display of, at least one common deck of Fifty-Two cards is being applied in play action. This process is inclusive to either an encompassing video gaming apparatus or a live action table gaming environment, as accommodated for. In play action, the dealer's hand is replaced with the application of Trigger Numbers, ranging anywhere from Twelve (12) up to Twenty (20), and optional Push Numbers ranging anywhere from Twelve (12) up to Twenty (20). Through such an application, the applicants' present a more mathematically malleable “core margin percentage variance” being afforded for exploitation by Housemasters. Likewise, the mathematical mechanics supporting this broader core margin percentage variance is made possible while simultaneously applying a seamlessly familiar playing experience for patrons. In so doing, the applicants' Trigger & Push Number solutions replacing the Dealer's hand in play action, proffers a whole new frontier for their “Twenty-One” gaming procedure. Indeed, this procedure directly features significantly fatter core margin payoffs for winning hand tallies from the game's Primary & Secondary “Base” or Secondary “Propositions” play actions while still providing for all the necessary elements of a sustainable alternative to the classic Blackjack workhorse for which the public can enthusiastically embrace.

Systems and methods for correlating large datasets of electronic data messages

A computer system is provided that stores reference data records and event data records that each correspond to one of the reference data records. Tokens are generated from the reference data records and sorted into subsets. Each reference data record that has a given token is included in the corresponding subset. A correlation value is calculated between members (e.g., the reference data records) of the subsets. The correlation values are calculated by determining a common time, calculating a reference value, calculating a percentage difference from the reference value, and then determining a correlation value (e.g., a correlation coefficient) using the percentage difference.

Performance automotive electronic traction indicating device

The present invention allows for the Performance Automotive Electronic Traction Indicating Device to be mounted in any performance vehicle, in any location within the vehicle or moved to another vehicle with ease. The Performance Automotive Electronic Traction Indicating Device allows for the driver to pre-set the percentage difference of rotation or travel between the driven wheel and the un-driven wheel or driving surface to suit varying conditions. The present invention allows for the driver to calibrate the device easily while on the race track without it being a distraction to the driver. The present invention allows for the Performance Automotive Electronic Traction Indicating Device to store output data for later review. The present invention allows for the Performance Automotive Electronic Traction Indicating Device to transmit data to a data receiving device for real time review of the incoming data. The present invention allows for the Performance Automotive Electronic Traction Indicating Device to indicate to the driver through sensory inputs of visual, audio, and tactile the sequentially increasing level of slippage or over-rotation on the driving surface the driven tire or tires are experiencing.
