The invention provides a vertical air conditioner. The vertical air conditioner comprises an indoor unit. The indoor unit comprises a front panel, an air outflow frame, a rear backboard, a left side panel, a right side panel, a top cover plate and a mixed air display. A mixed air outlet is formed in the front panel. The top cover plate is provided with a non-heat-exchange air inlet, an induced draught fan and an air guiding device for opening or closing the non-heat-exchange air inlet. The induced draught fan is used for introducing indoor non-heat-exchange air into an inner air duct through the non-heat-exchange air inlet. According to the vertical air conditioner, non-heat-exchange air and heat exchange air can both be introduced to form mixed air, the mixed air is blown out of the mixed air outlet, and thereof the circulating air volume and the heat exchange speed of the indoor unit are increased. The non-heat-exchange air inlet is formed in the top cover plate, the induced draught fan is used for inducing air, the height of a heat exchanger can be increased without arranging a ventilation air duct, and therefore the capacity of the heat exchanger is improved. The mixed air display is independently arranged, production and mold cost can be reduced to the maximum extent, the arrangement position of the mixed air display is flexible, and the market competitiveness can be improved.
