The sperm sorting chip, the sperm detection equipment and the sperm detection method are designed for solving the problem that existing sperm sorting and detecting equipment is tedious in detection flow and high in cost. The sperm sorting chip comprises an upper plate and a lower plate. An injection hole and a suction hole are formed in the upper plate, a sorting slot is formed in a panel where the upper plate and the lower plate are attached, the sorting slot is communicated with the injection hole and the suction hole, a temperature control module is arranged on the upper plate or the lower plate and used for endowing the sorting slot with a temperature gradient, the temperature at one side, relative to the sorting slot, of the injection hole is lower than the temperature at one side, relative to the sorting slot, of the suction hole. The sperm detection equipment comprises the sperm sorting chip. The sperm detection method detects the sperm activity by means of the sperm detection equipment. The sperm sorting chip, the sperm detection equipment and the sperm detection method provided by the invention are used for detecting the sperm activity.

System and method for sperm sorting

A system and method for sorting sperm is provided. The system includes a housing and a microfluidic system supported by the housing. The system also includes an inlet providing access to the microfluidic system to deliver sperm to the microfluidic system and an outlet providing access to the microfluidic system to harvest sorted sperm from the microfluidic system. The microfluidic system provides a flow path for sperm from the inlet to the outlet and includes at least one channel extending from the inlet to the outlet to allow sperm delivered to the microfluidic system through the inlet to progress along the flow path toward the outlet. The microfluidic system also includes a filter including a first plurality of micropores arranged in the flow path between the inlet and the outlet to cause sperm traveling along the flow path to move against through the filter and gravity to reach the outlet.

The invention discloses a micro-fluidic chip for sorting sperms, which is used for sorting high-quality sperms from seminal fluid by utilizing the taxis characteristic of the sperms. According to the micro-fluidic chip, a substrate with a supporting function is used as a lower layer; the upper layer is made of a flexible material engraved with channels and a collecting structure, and the channels comprise a vertical sample introduction channel and a horizontal branch sample introduction channel which are distributed on the two sides of the main flow channel, a vertical buffer solution inlet channel, a vertical buffer solution outlet channel, and a vertical sample outlet channel and a horizontal branch sample outlet channel which are located on the two sides of the main flow channel. The flexible material on the upper layer and the substrate on the lower layer are tightly attached together. The sperm sorting chip has the beneficial effects that the sperm sorting chip has the advantages of simplicity and convenience in preparation, low cost, easiness in operation, high sorting efficiency and the like; besides, high-flux sperm sorting can be realized, so that the efficiency of sperm sorting is greatly improved, and the method has a wide application prospect in the field of assisted reproduction.
