Microjet actuators for the control of flow separation and distortion

A system for controlling unwanted flow separation. One or more microjets are placed to feed auxiliary fluid into a region of suspected flow separation. If the separation is intermittent, sensors can be employed to detect its onset. Once separation is developing, the microjets are activated to inject a stream of fluid into the separation region. This injected fluid affects the flow and serves to control the flow separation. A steady-state embodiment can be used to continuously fluid. On the other hand, sensors and a rapidly reactive control circuit can be used to inject fluid only when it is needed to inhibit flow separation. The sensors and control circuit can operate off of simple pressure gradient detection or predictive algorithms that anticipate when flow separation will occur.

According to the system and method for testing the wind farm power control strategy, wind farm operation information is received in real time, set power values of wind farm units and reactive-load compensation devices are sent to the corresponding wind turbine generator units and the corresponding reactive-load compensation devices in a wind farm at regular intervals according to the different power control strategies, finally a closed loop for testing the control performance of a wind farm active / reactive control system is formed, and the success rate of on-site putting into operation is improved.

Fast reactor having reactivity control reflector

A fast reactor having a reactivity control reflector has a reactor vessel in which a coolant is accommodated, a reactor core which is installed in the reactor vessel and dipped with the coolant, and a reflector installed outside of the reactor core so as to be movable in a vertical direction for controlling the reactivity of the reactor core. The reflector of the fast reactor has a lower neutron reflecting portion having a neutron reflection capability higher than that of the coolant and an upper cavity portion located above the neutron reflecting portion and having a neutron reflection capability lower than that of the coolant. The cavity portion is composed of a plurality of cylindrical hermetically-sealed vessels.
